What do you expect from a next gen Gears Of War...

I expect alot of things


I'm hoping it will be more players.

Keep cog vs locust

Bigger maps, maps same on each side.. makes it fair for both teams

KEEP OUT THAT JUMPING OF THE BUILDING THING IN JUDGEMENT..

REALLY, JUST NOTHING IN JUDGEMENT expect overun, pretty good idea

Beast mode

Classic maps Gridlock Jacinto Canal Bloodrive etc

Game developer Epic next game

The creators of Gears of war have not announce their next game and I want to know what do you think they will do next? Do you think they will make another sci-fi shooter or something totally different like Bungie did from Halo to Destiny? I dont expect anything from them next year for the competition is already in full blown with the new Halo, Titanfall, Destiny, and other games, but hopefully they will have another kick-ass game for us in 2015.

Just to make other players salty. I don't care what's in the game.

 

I don't want the judgment approach go the game. And i want 1080/60

 

I expect there to be a horde mode or I wont buy it like I did with judgment.

 

Would love to have Beast mode back. That was so much fun.

 

I really expect new characthers , good story and a better MP like GoW3 but better.

 

1080p would be nice. And either 5v5 or 6v6

For MP:

- Dedictaed servers for all players is a must. None of that VIP BS they had in Judgment!!

- Condensed playlist. Stop making so many different lists that split off players who are VIP or have the DLC etc. Just have game types (KOTH, Warzone, Annex, Execution) and have players without the DLC seemlessly migrate to a different match or just have
the new matchmaking (Smart Match) put all people with the DLC together from the start.

- If for whatever reason bots are required in a game, cloud powered AI would be great kind of like Drivatars.

- Stop bots from picking up power weapons or at least make them swap.

- More players BUT only if it makes sense.

- COG vs Locust

- DBNO. Possibly make it a bit different where first time you go down you can crawl. Second time you can't move like Gears 1. Third you're out instantly.

- Fix mantle!!

- Remove or fix the Sawed off and Retro.

- Support the game a lot longer than previous ones. Keep interesting content coming and continue weekly/monthly events. I'd rather have a Gears I can play for years and give them plenty of time to make the next one even better.

For campaign:

- Make sure the story follows canon. I hate when we get things show up in a game timeline that fans know can't of happened (looking at you Judgment!!)

- SPOILERS I'm assuming it'll be the start of a new trilogy so make it really interesting. If it follows on from 3 don't make it a cop out reason as to why there are still Locust. Think long and hard about how the games play out and give the story some real
depth. Books etc had plenty of material to build on. Alternative view on the war from the UIR. Different squad in the COG.

- Keep the books going. They really helped flesh out the universe and fill the gaps between games.

- First chapter cover the Pendulum Wars. Second covers the peace across Sera once COG won. Third covers E Day and the terror of what went on.

- Bring back the darker tone from Gears 1. Make us fear the Locust again.

- Keep the co-op for the entire campaign.

So many things but as long as they have Rod I have faith

 

My Want List:

1) Unreal Engine 4

2) Run at 60fps (Don't care about resolution as long as it no less than 720p)

3) Microsoft Azure Dedicated servers even if you don't own DLC maps

4) Bring back the dark gore and grittiness of GOW1

5) Same DLC and online support that was found in GOW3

6) Locust vs COG multiplayer is a MUST

7) Get rid of silly customization options like pink armor but keep items that would fit the Gears universe

8) DO NOT look towards GOW:J for inspiration (It was an ok game but not nearly up to par with original trilogy)

9) Create comics to flesh out the universe and introduce any new characters beyond the games

10) Punish quitters in a constructive way

 

No next. When franchises get past 3 it gets a bit wonky. When they reach 5 they are either ready to die or Legen...wait for it....
