What do you do when your xbox gets bricked by insider preview

You have to wait

Warranty proccess still has to go thru reddit

And no they don't take insiders under normal warranty as you can't factory reset them without the original profile which is a security concern

Quick and dirty way to do it

If you can reboot into the os

Remove the console from.insiders

Factory reset the console

Reboot

Accept the new updste

Then reenroll

Keep in mind if you have skipahead you can never rejoin trust me I been trying

Since November when I got my series x after unenrolling due to selling my xbox one x to trade towards my series x preorder

Contact the regedit /xboxinsiders like you are supposed ti as per the insiders agreement

Don't you read the agreement you sign?

I hope you don't skip it for all you know it couldve asked for your house

Fyi all troubleshooting is supposed to come from the Reddit xbox insiders

Using osu without troubleshooting can make bricking your console

This is why you should read the terms

You aren't supposrd to use osu with insiders you do know that osu is older then any current release right ?

Why would it overwrite a beta that is possibly 10 releases newer then osu

There is a proceedure to do so but if you are in skip ahead it would be impossible to return

It involves unenrolling then using factory resetbut I'd imagine use Reddit first

As insider bugs are treated different then warranty

Instead of waiting for an OSU in August which can only be applied to a console NOT enrolled in a Insiders preview anyway, you should unenroll the console from any preview and Factory reset the console. You can unenroll from a PC. Manage account Insider preview program.

Excerpt from System update solution Insiders specific

If you receive a System Error with an Exxx error code, this could indicate a hardware issue. A hardware issue is defined by the system’s inability to process critical functions and results in a failure. Because consoles enrolled in the Xbox Insider Program receive preview updates, any of the Offline System Update (OSU) files will not resolve this issue.

When running through the console’s troubleshooting steps above, if you are prompted to use an OSU file, skip this step and select Reset this Xbox on the console. From there, choose either option that best suits your needs (We recommend the Reset and keep my games & apps option).

If restoring the console to factory defaults does not resolve this issue for your Xbox Insider console, you will need to submit a request to have your console repaired. To submit a repair request, visit:

You can remove (unenroll) the console from a preview and still remain in the Insiders with the preview options available to your account. If you remove your Insider account as well as remove the console from a preview, using the Insider hub, you will have to start all over and wait for an invite again. Don't remove your Insider account, just unenroll the console.

I have recently installed Insider hub on a new Xbox Series X and all of the preview rings I am allowed were available to me. My XBSX console is enrolled in the Alpha Skip Ahead preview as is my XB1X. I didn't have to wait for an invite to ASA preview as I didn't delete my Insider account.

Edit.. As you mentioned replacing the HDD (self repair) in this Earlier post I cannot help you further. Self repair is against the Terms of use.

And wait the 30mins for removal before you attempt a reboot

Fyi if you have Windows 10 use the insiders hub app and readd your console them reboot
