You can run a traceroute on your console, to determine where it fails.

Go to Xbox Network settings. Select your connection type and press the following combo on your controller:

LT RT RT LT RB LB and select tracert.xbox.com

Appreciate if you can post up the make and model of your router, and your modem as well (if this is not a single unit).

Can you tell us how your Xbox is connected to your router (wired, wireless), and if it's directly connected to the router.

What is the name of your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Do you still get ICMP error when you try connect to Xbox LIVE? If its possible, could you try with a different Ethernet cable if the one you use is faulty. And or a different LAN port on your router.

Is the ICMP error the only error that you are getting when you do the LIVE Connection test? Have you seen any others?



You've said you've tried all of the steps. Were those the steps from our support page for

Error: Your router or gateway is not responding to ICMP responses? If so, did you still get an ICMP error after the network hardware restart in Solution 1? If not, what was the new error? Did you find both your router and modem on the hardware compatibility
list that is linked in Solution 2. Also, what were the results when you tried the direct wired modem connection described in Solution 3?

Have you tried connecting your xbox directly to the modem? Do you still receive the ICMP errors? Are you able to connect to Xbox LIVE?

And the Standard things you can try.

If you see error code 80070435 when you try to connect your Xbox 360 console to Xbox LIVE, it means there’s a problem with either the Xbox LIVE service or with the wireless connection between your Xbox 360 console and Xbox LIVE.

What error message are you receiving with the Live portion of the test?

ICMP?

MTU?

Internet Error?
