What do u expect from games with gold on xbox one

In a world where money grows on trees yes of course they would give us ryse 6 months after release.Oh look im on the other forum AGAIN.

My gold membership not working

I repaid my Xbox one gold account I can play online but I can't get the free games they let u get if u have gold what do I do

 

still waiting for next free game with gold

i do own both...and prob will for the next gen, but not an early adopter. in fact i own 3 xboxes in two different houses, so i am commited either way. when u go to download fable 3 it simply says expect a new game every couple weeks, well in the english
language couple means two. when u go to the details on games with gold the fine print says "games with gold free offer avalable 6/10/13 - 12/31/13". no where does it say starting july. this is from the dashboard, not some esoteric gaming website which is where
u might be getting ur information.

I'm not going to lock this thread but can we keep the comparison between other manufacturers out of it please? We are all more than capable of talking about Xbox One and its games without bringing other platforms into it. It is after all, against the forum
guidelines.

Considering only 2 new games have came out on Xbox one since release I don't expect much from it.

I hate to say this but the comparison is fair, and needs mention as a basis in the discussion. I'm not questioning the rule, just telling you it's a fair comparison.

 

If GWG were to start giving really great games regularly and early.....I would stop buying games.

 

Im not expecting anything. That way when it comes Ill be surprised.

I'm not saying its not a fair discussion, but it wouldn't be fair for me if I allowed comparisons here and not elsewhere. Now in an ideal world, these sorts of discussions would take place all over without anyone putting their thumb in their mouths, blowing
their muscles up and stomping around the place when someone tries to compare. Unfortunately, this isn't that. I take what you have said on board but I do have to uphold the guidelines and make sure they are enforced as best they can be. We can all discuss
the authors set discussion point without bringing other console manufacturers into it.

I would agree that Uncharted 3 was the worst out of the trilogy, U1 and U2 were absolute first class, U3 felt old and stale and had sections where you died far too many times and it required you to memorise what was coming (bad game design in my book)

Way better than average? no, I think it was average at best.

 

I do wonder how it works for Sony and PS+ though.. The monthly cost isn't much, but the games (as mentioned) are often new and sometimes even "quite big" games. I wonder what kinda deal they have with the devs/publishers so that everyone comes out with profit..

Or then optionally Sony is basically doing it at a loss, while great for the customers, but not very good for Sony considering they don't really have the cash reserves anymore to do charity like that

 

I think it will be something like Need 4 Speed First. Because of the DLC, and packs. Personally, i think the pubs give it too them for pennies. For the revenue they can create in DLC, Advertising for the next game, and overall release to the general consumer.

Don't forget, Once a game slacks in new sales. It relies heavily on DLC to keep the cash coming in. Which is how the one i am not allowed to mention does it.

A game will be put up with GWG, And it will have heaps of DLC, like cars, tracks, packs, etc. More people owning the game for free now, opens up this DLC content to everyone else. And companies can see an influx of cash which technically has not much revenue
left in it.

Small games (old arcade, as stated, no difference now between Big, Small, Arcade or Indie, they are all games), once there revenue trickles down to little more than pounds a month, will release a game to GWG in the hope that a sequel not far away, will entice
more people to buy it.

 

I still say that these free games programs are serving other purposes....Microsoft (and others) are collecting tons of valuable user data. It is also a preamble for possible subscription/partial subscription programs. It is also a means to slowly migrate
those stubborn "plastic disc lovers" to digital downloads.
