What do I need to play xbox one

Hi,

I currently play xbox 360 on my non-HD tv and im thinking of buying an xbox one but will I need to use a HDTV, and to play online will I need to directly to connect my xbox one to my modem or can I use wireless???

I am an old country boy and I can play off line games on my computer now I'm hearing about

the xbox 360 to play games on tv and pc and don't know what all to buy to to do this I have

tryed asking the sellers but get no answers,do I just order the Xbox 360 and 2 controllers or

What do I need to play games

To play games on Xbox you will need:

-1 Xbox 360 Console (and all the things that come with it in the box: controller, connections to the tv, powerpack)

-1 TV with the right connections (it's very easy to plug in, check this link out

support.xbox.com/.../console it should help you out with that.

-1 extra controller (which you will buy separately) to play with a friend.

that's basically it but if you want to play online you might need a headset which comes with the Xbox 360 250GB but not with the 4GB and some money to buy Xbox LIVE Gold. You will get 1 month free trial so don't worry about that. To play online you will
also need Wireless internet Connection.

What modem do you have (brand and model)? If you want wireless you most liekly will need a wirelss router but its completely fine to plug the Xbox One directly into the modem. As far as HD then yes the Xbox One only support HDTVs, I really suggest not
buying a small cheap off brand TV that a lot of places sell but stick with 32inch and larger and go with Sony, Samsung, Sharps, Panasonic, Vizio etc; And not brands like Sylvania or Westinghouse type stuff. I say this because a lot of small and cheap HDTVs
use non standard resolutions and ratios that will cause you problems.

 

Yes I have a wireless router. My xbox 360 slim can connect online without any cords does that mean my xbox one will??? And I don't know if my tvs HD or not, its digital does that mean its HD?

 

IF you can connect your 360 wirelessly then you can your Xbox One. As far as your TV digital that doesn't mean its an HDTV. How is your Xbox 360 connected to your old TV, if your using red white and yellow cables that means its SD. What make and model
is your TV?

 

It has HDMI ports dose that make it HD???
