What do I do if I sent a controller to get repaired only for it to come back in the same shape I originally sent it in

Hello Alex R, my name is Oskayra, and I will be happy to help you.

Beforehand, it is important that you keep in mind that this is a public community forum, so we are players like you, we are not employees of Microsoft or Xbox, so we do not have access to any user account or check anything from the forum. All users help each other with common problems.

Remember that this is a possible solution, if it doesn't work for you we can try another one.

Note: This is a public forum therefore, I suggest you not share your personal data.

I am very sorry for the problem you are experiencing with the controller. For this type of case I suggest you request a REFUND for this, there is a form, which is as follows:

    https://support.xbox.com/forms/request-a-refund

There you will have to fill out the form with some information that will be requested and you should know that in case the refund request is rejected, you will have to respond to the email they sent you explaining the reason for your refund so that the team in charge can review the request again.

You should also know that game refunds must be made before 14 days have passed since the game was purchased and the game has not been played for a long time, that is, considerable hours of play have not been accumulated. Otherwise, if these prerequisites are not met, the game cannot be refunded.

Subscriptions can be refunded within 30 days of purchase.

Thank you for your patience, I hope everything can be resolved. I will be attentive to your response. Blessings.

    Sincerely,
    Oskayra.

    Exchange in a service order

With the consoles it is usually a repaired console of same model and size that isn't the one you sent back but has been serviced as working, i would guess that if the controllers can be repaired that's what they would do. But then again what it cost to make
a controller vs what they charge you for it they may just give you a new one.

What to do if the controller sent back after ‘repair’ is more broken than when I sent it.

Hello, first it's a pleasure to be able to help you today.

My name is welcome to the community.

Hello ShadowFreddy, As this forum is for public viewing and unfortunately, as independent consultants, we do not have access to some data or your account, we cannot specify the real reason for this to have happened to your control.

To effectively clarify this issue, it is necessary to contact Microsoft support directly via chat, so that they can help you.

    Go to: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us/

See the bottom left part of the page and make sure that the page has the correct region that you are in (ex: United States - English for USA)

If not, click on it then select the correct region that you are in.

Check and confirm that you are within the available time of support under Contact times.

    Click Contact us

Select the drop-down menu options that will match your concern.

On the page, see the provided support articles that may help you with your concern. Click See contact options if further assistance is needed.

On the next page, select either Chat online or Request a call option then follow or enter the needed details.

I figured the same exact thing as well but it just makes sense for a big company but i looked into it and contacted support and i was told it would be a new controller i don't know if that's because its an elite controller or its what they just do but thank
you for the reply and hopefully this thread will help someone answer a question of theres
