    What do I do if I lost my world even though my storage in minecraft was set to external?


    When I opened my minecraft and was about to play but it was lagging and it says that there is an error in logging in my Microsoft account. I tried logging in but still couldn't so I decided to exit minecraft but unstead it made my phone lag where I can't even interact with it, so I just hold my power button to make it power off. After that, my minecraft disappeared and that's how I found that it got deleted. I downloaded it again, log in again, and fix my settings like how my settings used to be. I then saw that all my worlds disappeared even my skins couldn't load and it's failed to load. I had my minecraft for more than a year and it has always been set to external, I don't know how to get it back and restore everything. I tried every method that I found online but I countered that in my folder files, the minecraft worlds file is empty. Every file in my minecraft is empty, I used zarchiver and still got nothing. I also tried connecting it with a laptop but still empty. I don't know what to do, all my progress are gone. I have samsung s23 FE. What do I do, please help?

    I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues.

    If for some reason the worlds were deleted and do not appear within the corresponding folder on your smartphone, the only way to recover them is to restore your mobile phone to a previous backup if you had that option configured.

    Hi, thanks your response, however the world was on the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, as that is the only version installed on my Xbox and I have no external storage devices.

    I also get a chirping noise but worked out that it comes from my external storage. Do you have an external hdd plugged in? Could be that. Isn't doing any harm though.
