what do I do if I logged in on Xbox on my Nintendo switch

I understand you would like to login your Microsoft account in Minecraft on Nintendo Switch. Did you use the QR code or the URL provided and entered the code displayed on your screen to sign in to your Microsoft account remotely?

Please follow these instructions:

1. Start Minecraft on your Nintendo Switch.

2. Select Sign in with a Microsoft Account.

3. Go to the https://login.live.com/oauth20_remoteconnect.srf on a web browser on your phone or PC.

4. Enter the code showing on your Switch.

5. Sign into the Microsoft account you want linked to the Switch. Confirm the account you want to link is correct.

After your account is linked, your Xbox gamertag will appear in the corner of the screen on your Minecraft title screen.

If your Microsoft account will still not log in despite doing this, please try to clear the cache on your Nintendo Switch.

1. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.

2. Scroll down and select System.

3. Scroll down again, and select Formatting Options.

4. Select Reset Cache.

5. Select the user that you wish to clear cached data for, and then select Reset to confirm.

Please restart your Nintendo Switch, then launch Minecraft and try signing in your Microsoft account again.

Since the game is made by Epic and your son is playing on a Nintendo Switch, I am unsure what Microsoft can do about it. Did you purchase the Vbucks from Microsoft? If so, they can only be redeemed by logging in on an Xbox console.

By your request you should understand that this issue is not connected to xbox as platform or as service. For in-game issues post at the game's dev forums or contact their support.

You should direct all questions about the Switch and any issues with it to it's manufacturer. The people at Mojang should know better than to point you in Microsofts direction.
