What did you think of Xbox E3?

@THE Eskimo Blue i actually feel the complete oposite there giving us more options and by the time scorpio launches xbox one will be 4 years old OG xbox had the same life span but the difference here is the play anywhere which is genius there building a
echo system like they said no one gets left behind i honestly could not be more happy right now with what there doing with play anywhere just means more money for devs and longer life spans for games they should be praised for taking such a big risk and the
fact you only have to buy 1 copy of the game is just icing on the cake

 

I love it. Cant wait for Scropio. I love MS's approph of showing game that come out this year, showing how they hope to improve gaming on the xbox, and showing us they are listening.

 

@Doc, sorry I'm struggling to see the benefit of streaming my Xbox game to a PC. Why would we want to do that? This is a genuine question, I just don't get it.

Project Scorpio does look fantastic, but it's going to create a two tier gaming system. Those who can afford it will buy the Scorpio, those who can't will have to make do with the Xbox One S. Doesn't sound like a good deal for Xbox gamers to me.

 

Forza Horizon 3 absolutely blew me away! Dead Rising 4 was a pleasant surprise too!

 

Here is my thoughts:

With relation to the console announcement:

The Xbox One is like an IPhone 6.

The Xbox One S is like an IPhone 6s.

The Scorpio is an IPhone 7.

I think the One S is a good place holder before Scorpio and its being reported as the cheapest 4k Blu-ray player. My friend whom have not play much on his Xbox one is already preorder the One S, so clearly there is a market for the device.

Play Anywhere:

Great concept. But need more large third party support before it's viable. Getting EA, Activision, and UBI on board would be very critical to the strategy. Personally, I will be buying digital now and will play on PC instead of the One.

Games:

Gears: I wish Gears can take hints from Division and Destiny and try some open world concepts.

Scalebound: This game seem to have pull a watchdog. The game feel like last gen and reminds me of Lost Planet 2. Watching the conference demo I felt it was repetitive and boring. The Beats by Dr. Dre also didn't make it any better.

Forza Horizon 3: Is a Forza without a fujimi kaido. Every Time they announce a Forza I get very excited then I check the map and it doesn't have that map. I refuse to buy. Fujimi or bust. Well I know Forza Horizon 3 is not in the same country, but...what
can you do. Am I right?

Sea of Thieves: I came. I saw. I am still not sure how this game work. Going to have to see some more preview.

Bonus Round:

FFXV: This is probably the most offending game I saw from the E3 Xbox press conference. Xbox allocated time for them to do live stage demo. They did a terrible job, that I felt my 7 year old nephew could have done better. Then on the competitor press
conference the show off the VR feature in a video trailer. I felt it was very disrespectful that Square came used Xbox and then show off a better version afterwards. Please get of the stage, you know what you did there Square.

 

Sorry its late. I have had a long E3 at the expo and conference. Just wanted to share some thoughts

I do not work for media outlet.

I have been very fortunate to attend E3 for the past three years, all thanks to Microsoft. Each year the weekend before E3, Microsoft would hold an event and randomly selects winners to go to their press conference. The selected winners also are given
E3 tickets and lots of swags.

If you want to know more search for Xbox Fan Fest. Also the first year I don’t think it was called Fan Fest but it was extremely similar.

 

I wish I had the ability to go to e3 but that's never going to happen. too expensive to go

 

It's been a dream of mine to go to E3. The moment that it's ever re-opened to the public I'll be on the first flight to LA.

 

Sitting on the floor for the briefing for Xbox, i must say the design your own controllers is a nice add, play anywhere is also a great add to bring more gamers together. The new Xbox One S is a great idea to bring 360 console players to the next gen. even
if its used to just play Ultra 4k movies its still a better alternative to a stand alone player which cost considerable more. Also getting a chance to play many of the games at E3 this year i must say Forza Horizon 3 is great, Sea of Thieves is crazy fun,
Titian Fall 2 is what 1 should have been. Cant forget Battlefield 1. All in all i think with Scorpio and the New Xbox One S, Xbox did a great job with new ideas and forward thinking, which is what E3 is all about the next step in gaming.

 

I really do think it is. Especially with all the new game titles and the development of VR. And the cross platform game play we will have is great.
