what causes my computer to freeze when playing some games?

I'm one of those people who, when I first turn on my computer, always updates windows and apps in the app store. but when encountering the problem as described above I have deleted and reinstalled and tried restarting the computer but the problem still persists. These 2 games are not cooperating with me what should I do next?

I've already tried those steps, the didn't help. When I'm playing other games it doesn't freez like that. Could it be the disc what is causing this ?

Dalan37 described it exactly like I experience this problem. Some times it's no problem due to some games not freezing. But still, other do freeze for the duration of the beep and it's very VERY annoying when it happens during online play. I don't think
this is a "feature" and MS should address this problem

The freeze caused by the beep affects gameplay. Period.
