    What Category is GamePass in from the Report a Problem app?


    I ran into a problem with GamePass and the new Store but can’t find GamePass in any of the categories from the report a problem app. If it’s not in there I’ll just select Store since I’m not entirely sure if the problem is with the Store or the GamePass app.

    I’m pretty sure I looked through all the relevant categories and couldn’t find GamePass antes here; did I just overlook it?

    Unable to install console games from mobile App

    I experienced this problem last night with my Android Xbox GamePass app trying to install games onto my Xbox One X. My console is in the Dashboard Preview program so I reported it via the Xbox Insider app.

    If you would like to provide additional data to Microsoft for troubleshooting (ie maybe support is not aware of Xbox GamePass game install issues) even if you don't have your console in the Dashboard Preview program, try downloading the Xbox Insider app.
    Once app is installed, press and hold the Xbox nexus button on your controller...then select the Report a Problem button. Select Apps as the category, then OneGuide as the sub-category and enter in your problem title and description.

    This kind of issue is hard to determine without more information, but I won’t ask you to provide any personal information here.



    Instead, I would ask you to double check the login email that you are using on both consoles to make sure there were no errors. If that isn’t the issue, please download the Report a Problem app from the Xbox store. Once that’s downloaded, here are the steps to Report a Problem from your console



    1. Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller
    2. On the What do you want to do? screen, choose Report a problem. This will open the Report a Problem app.
    3. Select Report new problem.
    4. On the New problem report screen, give your problem a descriptive title.
    5. Select the most appropriate category and subcategory from each dropdown.
    (Note If you’re not sure what category a problem should be in, just take your best guess. We’ll still receive and review your problem.)

    1. If you can show us the problem, ensure the Include screenshot button is checked

    Please respond back to this thread with the descriptive title and ~date/time, category and subcategory that you used when you submitted the problem report showcasing the error you are seeing. We will go find it and review the logs from your console to try to understand what is going on

    Does this happen with every online game you play, or just Gears 5?

    Are you using an external HDD?

    I would fully power down the console, and unplug it from the outlet and wait about 30 seconds - perhaps with the router as well and try again.

    Additionally, if it continues to happen, I suggest downloading the "Report a Problem" app from the Microsoft Store on your Xbox. Once it's downloaded, here's how you use it.

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller
    2. On the What do you want to do? screen, choose Report a problem. This will open the Report a Problem app.
    3. Select Report new problem.
    4. On the New problem report screen, give your problem a descriptive title.
    5. Select the most appropriate category and subcategory from each dropdown.

    In order to report problems through your Xbox console, you’ll have to download the free Xbox Report a Problem app first. This is one of the best ways to report issues to Team Xbox, since you can do it directly through your console.

    Press the Xbox button  to open the guide, and then select Store.

    Search for “xbox report a problem” and download the Xbox Report a Problem app.

    After the app has downloaded and installed, follow the instructions below.

    Press and hold the Xbox button .

    On the What do you want to do? screen, choose Report a problem. This will open the Report a Problem app.

    Select Report new problem.

    On the New problem report screen, give your problem a descriptive title.

    Select the most appropriate category and subcategory from each dropdown.

    Provide a description for the problem. The best way to do this is to answer these questions:

    What is the problem or unexpected behavior?

    What steps did you take to encounter the problem?

    What additional software, hardware, or accessories were you using when you encountered the problem? For example: media discs (Blu-rays, DVDs, games), TV model (video issues), AV setup (audio issues), networking hardware (connection issues), headsets, arcade sticks, or peripherals.

    Were there any specific error codes or messages you saw when you encountered the problem or behavior? If so, what was the error code or message?

    Select Submit.

    Note It can take several seconds for your problem report to send.
