What can I do...

I've had an xbox since they came out. Have 2 series X in the house now. We'll 3 but mine isint hooked up yet. Each of my sons has 1 in there bedroom. We have live and gamepass.

Bought a pre-release digitalcode from Walmart for the new doom game for my son as a bday gift. His bday came (may 15th is his bday and also the day it came out) and we gave it to him that evening. He said I am downloading the game now and I was confused and asked how? He said it free in gamepass. O ok well I'll return this and you can have moneybto use on whatever.

Walmart won't return it since it's a code and they can't verify it hasn't been used and to contact xbox.

Xbox says no refunds on purchases from verified 3rd party retailers.

Game code is un-used. Since it's not an unopened game disc Walmart won't take it/return/refund/exchange it.

Xbox says they won't/can't do anythingfor me.

I've been a loyal xbox user for over 2 decades now and can't wrap my head around this.

I'm stuck with this unused $69.99 plus tax game code?

I asked microsoft if they can switch the code for xbox money they said no. They said well look at it this way if you ever cancel your subscription t least you have the game still.
