What can 3.5mm jack do?

I am about to invest on a Xbox One Forza Edition bundle which as the 3.5mm jack on the controller. Can that jack be used for game audio AND chat? I have a TurtleBeach BOPS2 Tango headset that is made for the 360 but I know there is a 3.5mm to 2.5mm that
will go from the 3.5mm on the controller to the 2.5mm on the headset. I am not sure if I will be getting chat via that wire though, nor if I can change the volume of chat.

Do I need to buy that adapter that goes from the chat to 3.5mm? Or will that 3.5mm to 2.5mm wire work for chat?

Will Razer Kraken pro work on my Xbox One?

I'm buying the Razer Kraken Pro. But will it work without the Audio adaptor? DOES IT EVEN WORK ON XBOX ONE?? Can I use it just by plugging the 3.5mm Jack?

** My controller does have the 3.5mm audio jack.

If your headset has a 2.5mm wire you'll need a "2.5mm female to 3.5mm male" wire. In theory you should be able to use both audio and microphone from the headset when doing that, if you've previously purchased the chat adapter which fitted on the old Xbox
One controllers that will also still work on the newer controllers which have a 3.5mm jack.

If there is no way to adjust the chat volume via the cable itself or another hardware device connected to the headset then you can still change them in the settings of your Xbox One.
