What are your top 5 must play Xbox 360 games?

Aside from lego I have never played a LotR game since the PS2 (I think it was the two towers). So looking forward the new one that's soon to be out!

 

It's nice to hear SOMEONE out there liked FFXIII. I thought it was dreadful. I've never been so bored playing a game before. It became a chore and I ended up tossing it into the "I'm so done with this game" pile.

My Top 5 games - in my opinion -

Fallout 3 and New Vegas - Even though the story was just so-so, this game was just pure brilliance in gameplay, exploration and 1940's design.

Rainbow Six Vegas series - Somehow I just got completely hooked on this. It was like a drug.

Mass Effect series - for character development, story, immersiveness

Crackdown 1 & 2 - Best co-op. It's just like a pumped up GTA minus the story.

Red Dead Redemption - Best story, atmosphere, character development, voice acting

 

FFXIII doesn't appeal to everyone and that's fine.You need a lot of patience to get into it. Yeah, the game starts out slow but a couple chapters in, it gets pretty intense. By the 3rd disc you're like holyyyy sh*t. Look at all the numbers and these pretty
colours!

@Cloud, Vanquish is on Xbox360 and PS3.

 

One disc? Who's on the cover? You're supposed to have 3 discs. Disc 1 has Lightning, 2 has Snow and 3 has Serah.

 

Maybe there are 3, but not many people would remember because most bailed on the game during disk one after 30 hours of running in a straight line and killing the same enemies 3000 times.

 

@Defy, it's one disc on PS3, that's the last console I played it on, I also played it on Xbox360, I have played FFXIII-2 on both consoles too, and without sounding like a fanboi, FFXIII looks a lot better on PS3 and FFXIII-2 looks a little better, both
run well on both consoles.

Either way they are great games on either console, but I am glad I don't have to change discs anymore in any games I own, I am not a fan of disc swapping.

 

biz, crackdown was awesome. I was gutted to come into the franchise late (way up until it came free with GwG) and I thoroughly enjoyed the bit I played on it.

WILK0, Vanquish I googled. I remember it now form the pictures. It looks pretty good! I need to brush up on my gaming. I'm almost embarrassed not to know or remember all these games lately lol!

 

The only reason I know so much about games is because that's all I do, I don't work (I am not on benefits either), I don't have any other hobbies (except of nunchucks) so I spend most of my days either playing or talking about games, I even talk to random
strangers in game shops, so I do have a slight advantage, you probably have a life, lol.

 

I loathe Crackdown. There is a lot happening but very little actually going on (if that makes sense.)

Vanquish is one of those games I wanted to like but it hated me. Even on the easiest setting the game was beating my backside and laughing as it did so.

Gears of War though let me set it to Piece of Cake or Your Gonna Die.

I'll take the game which lets me play how I feel at that time.

Heard a few people say that about Vanquish. To me it always felt like Ninja Gaiden with guns, as in prioritising enemies and knowing which weapon to use and when. I think that's why I took a great liking for it. Still have to finish off those ridiculously
hard Tactical Challenges though. Grrr!

 

Lmao vote! Crackdown was pretty tough. One thing I can say is that it was stressful having to die constantly and spawn way back at the car park. Which would happen to me a lot.

Gears on the other hand I would love to play. I hope they make it a little less shaky in the future because I do hear great things about it.

No no myers, I have no life I'm married, I forfeit my life when I said "I do". Seriously though that's an impressive knowledge base to have bud. Props.

Shig, Ninja Gaiden is on my list now you mention it. I have gone so far as to create a doc. on my desktop just to track what I need to pick up in the future. That, is number 3!

 

@Shiguirui, I never thought of Vanquish like that, but it makes sense now you mention it.

@Cloud, I have been with my wife since I was 18, I am in my 40's now, it's actually my anniversary soon, May 4th to be precise, I chose a wedding date I could remember.

1) Trials HD - Any Trials game is a must tho.

2) Mirror's Edge - Best FPS ever

3) Condemned - Except for the last level which i hated.

And then you can go outside the box for a little why not:

4) Deathsmiles IIX (or the original Deathsmiles) - Shoot-em-ups are something everyone should play

5) Mushihimesama Futari

 

The CAVE shmups on the 360 are amazing games.

It's worth obtaining "Deathsmiles", "Dodonpachi: Ressurection" and "Akai Katana".

They're just wonderful on your big TV screen.
