Discus and support What are your thoughts on Gamefly? in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I've had Gamefly for about 7 years. Excellent service as long as you know how to work the system.     What are your thoughts on Gamefly?


    I've had Gamefly for about 7 years. Excellent service as long as you know how to work the system. If you don't, you'll just end up frustrated.

    I like the idea of Gamefly but it is definitely not for me. I game at a snails pace because I have less and less free time to. I would be holding on to one game for months on end.

    @Sword, I have a PS4 and I just bought the X1 on December 3rd. There are tons of games on both systems that I have not played yet. So I have a pretty good backlog and I am happy with what ever they send me.

    @Nox I beat 10 games on my X1 in a little over 2 weeks. 4 of them were from Gamefly. I can not work due to medical reasons so I have nothing but free time.

    What are your thoughts on Gamefly?

    Man I'm sorry about the medical stuff but I'm a little jealous. Gamefly is obviously a no brainer for someone in your situation.

    I tried a free month of gamefly years ago and liked it, but I decided not to continue with it as I didn't feel like paying every month.

    I wonder if Gamefly could ever have a digital service in renting games. Sort of how Netflix began as renting hard copies through the mail then evolved into completely digital through an app.

    @brandeisel1, I have no problem paying $60 for every game I play if its worth the $60 price tag. But the simple fact is its not the case, I can not even tell you how many $60 games I bought and play it for a few hours and ended up taking it back to gamestop
    and losing $30 the same day I bought it. Just recently I bought Destiny for PS4, I played it a day and a half before I could not take it anymore. I ended up losing $20 on the game.

    P.S. When developers make a good game I buy a copy for the Xbox and PlayStation. Because I like beating games on both systems!

    Gamefly hurts the industry as much as used game sales do. They hurt it, but at the same time they can be beneficial. I've bought a million used games, but this gen I've decided to only buy new.

    I tried them for a few months, this was probably 6-7 years ago. I never really cared for it. I don't have a whole lot of free time, and I like going from one game (finish it) then to the next. Gamefly doesn't really help with that compared to owning the
    games.
