What are the issues with Project Cars?

Project Cars has now been on release for nearly two months and has not met all the hype that proceeded it's release, which in it's self is not an issue. What is now becoming an issue is the information that is been advised by the staff at Slightly Mad studios,
including that from the Head of studio.

We are been told to follow certain procedures to have the game work on the Xbox Console, the procedures are as follows:

Before playing the game do:

1, a full power cycle

2, close all apps that maybe running in the background

3, go off line

4, remove Limited edition add on

5, turn instant on off

And doing all these processes still does not guarantee that the game will work properly.

After two months it seems a little unfair that the game will not work properly on one, if not the most advanced Gaming Consoles on the market, now either this game will work on the Console or not. If it can then when will we be told when? and if not why
as MSFT not forced a recall of the game?

With the degree of patches already put out and the extensive patch yet to come out, which will still leave some major issues yet to be fix, it seems that it could take a number of months before this game is anywhere near fully playable, it just seems a step
too far to have had to pay for game that is taking so long to put right.

And if this is the level that this game has been allowed to put out for sale by Xbox then what will any future game be? especially since slightly Mad Studios is already promoting it's next game for Xbox?

Project Spark crashing all the time!!!!

I have no idea what your problem is but I can say that I'm having no issues with the Project Spark Beta. (so far anyways)

Had the game since launch and no problems playing it at all on xbox 1

 

No issues here. Purchased it on launch and have played it a lot

 

Then you are very lucky, as I too have had it since launch and have experienced all the issues that have been admitted by SMS, little strange that you have not experienced any of the issues not even those highlighted by SMS, very strange. I have not bothered
to play the game for a couple of weeks now, was a total waste of money, have decided to uninstall and not bother playing it again, will stick to Forza from now on.

 

When I 1st started trying to control the gokarts was a complete joke!! After a patch I've managed to get past the gokarts and I'm now trying a Porsche ( I think ) and its a nightmare and I've not touched it in weeks , such a shame as was so looking forward
to it!

 

Me too Boozyhead, gokarts was joke, GT3 and prototype was a little entertaining when the game stayed stable long enough to play, after patch 1.4.

Thing is at its core, i.e. tyre on tarmac feel, tuning depth, track options and car selection, it is a good game, thing that really spoils it is the lack of finish with the game.

The number of patches that are going to be required to get a complete finish on the game it will be 12 months before we truly enjoy the game, so hence why I have uninstalled it and maybe I will come back to it in a year or so.

I am glad that MSFT are been so diligent with their QA and holding back the patches to ensure the game is improving with each patch, but still the game is far from what was promised by sms before release, it's not a Forza quality game by a long way.

I still think it would have less trouble for MSFT to do a recall rather than do some of SMS's work with testing.

 

I must be lucky only thing ive had is the engine sound glitch and a few funky ai pit exits.

Other than that no problems at all.

I would agree its not forza quality but im enjoying the challenge of mastering each car

Must admit i havent played it for about a month as i got into gta 5

Sounds like they may have killed it with a patch??

 

I think the game is on patch 4/5 now and from what I read on the WMD forum two weeks back the game is still having issues, you would think with 4 patches the game would be running like a Ferrari by now....
