    What are the in-app purchases, and why unskippable ads?


    Recently the game started inserting full-screen, unskippable ads before the Daily Challenges section.

    The Store page for the app also says it contains in-app purchases, though there's no mention of what they are and I can't find anything in the app.

    I'd happily pay a few bucks to lose the ads.

    What's the story?

    I hate this app....WHY can you not PURCHASE an event, if the free passes are gone? Makes no sence to me.

    Web app for fut

    My pc app says I can't access it because I'm a EA member and have to purchase the game! I have downloaded the game so!! Any ideas why? Phone app says different, they are working on new fifa 15. Still can't get in.

    ads in MSN videos...

    Halo Waypoint has the same thing after it updated a few days ago. Watch a video, see an unskippable ad first.

    Microsoft will provide more TV-like advertisements through XBox Live.

    Call me back when it's five minute unskippable ad breaks prior to and during TV shows and movies then we'll talk.

    What went wrong from the Xbox 360 to the Xbox one?

    Protect the content from someone who has paid for it? That's the kind of silly thinking that got unskippable anti-piracy ads put on DVDs, you know those anti-piracy ads the pirates didn't see.

    Why would I want to have it downloaded to use offline? What a good point, you know I just can't imagine a scenario like someone DDoSing Microsoft and making connecting to Live very difficult...oh wait!

    Ads on xbox

    When you buy a newspaper, it is filled with ads, same thing with magazines, even digital ones. You pay for your internet usage but are constantly watching ads. This is part of life, even for things we pay for. I am just graeteful we don't have unskippable
    ads that play before loading a game.
