what are the differences between xbox 360 4gb slim and 250 gb slim,

hello friends , i'm little bit lost i'm new to the xbox world honesty , and i want to buy xbox 36o slim so since it's very expensive to buy xbox 360 250 slim so i thought why i don't buy the 4gb so my questions are , what are the differences between both
except the hard drive capacity i mean any differences for example in memory capacity i think i read somewhere that one has 1o mb and other 5 mb i'm confused what are the exact differences , if there is no differences is it easy to add hard drive 250 i saw
that it's like a small black box can be inserted and removed instantly no need for removing screws and so on but i dodn't know if this option is found in 4gb slim consoles or there are several versions of this 4gb slim ,,,,,,,,,,,last question i realized that
the xbox 360 e slim is found mostly in stores but i heard that it does miss thing which was in the slim could u pls explain the function of the missing features thx

Cannot play GTA San Andreas from XBOX Live

I am using the 4gb black XBOX 360 slim with a 250 gb hard drive.

 

Will 250 gb slim xbox 360 be fully functional after you remove the hard drive?

If you remove the hard drive from a 250 gb xbox 360 slim model, will the console still be fully functional like a 4gb slim model?

I've tried looking into this and all I can find the difference to be is the HDD. (Personally, I prefer the 250 GB over the 4GB. I use to have the 4GB and ran out of storage very fast. Now that I have the 250 GB I still have about 70% storage left and have
many games downloaded.)

As for the Xbox 360 E console. It's modeled on the Xbox One architecture. Thesre were the only things I could find that made it different. USB ports - Where the slim has 5 the E only has 4. The power plug is different on the E than the slim. If you don't
use an HDMI cable there is a new out plug where sound and graphics are enabled. The E console also got rid of the optical cable port, which is basically used for headsets such as Triton, Turtlebeach, etc. (So basically if you have any headset or accessories
that are after-market they won't be compatible - I know people use to talk about something EB games was trying to develop to get around this but not sure if it actually happened) Basically what operates the console is a mix from all the other previous xbox
consoles.

 

The other difference is the 4GB Slim can't play original Xbox games unless you buy an official hard drive.

So games like GTA:San Andreas wont work

the main difference between de 4gb and 250gb is that the 4gb has internal storage and the 250Gb comes with a 250 hard drive.

Be aware that some games do require the hard drive to function, also an Original xbox games that are supported require a hard drive. Those won't work with the internal storage.

The main difference between the E and slim version is what is mentioned by SlappyPenguin x which is 4 for the E version and 5 usb ports for the slim version and the E lacks an optical out.

Other then that they are basically the same.

I would personally advise the 250Gb version all the time.

 

guys thank you so much for answering but i'm still confused guys really i'm very stupid in these electronic issues so what i understood is that the 4gb slim i can't add 250 hard the one that looks like a small box i just open the side cover and insert it
, and according to ur words it's preferable to bring the 250 gb slim , and since it's much expensive than the new e slim , so i guess i'll stick to the new e slim but what i can't understan what is the optical out do u mean i can't use headphones or what really
confused beside my monitor is very old only has rgb in so pls need ur help guys , i'm on tight budget i'm afraid to bring the e slim and then i 'll be sorry for that.. thx

 

The 4gb is expendable with the same hard drive which already comes with the 250gb version, but buying the 4gb and the official Xbox 360 hard drive later on, will be more expensive the buying the 250gb version in the first place.

I can't really say much regarding the audio part. Can you specify the monitor brand and model number etc, it may help us answer the question.

will do with my monitor and if i bought the new E slim how i'm gonna connect it to my monitor and whether i'll be able to connect any headsets or what ,,,, totallllllllllllllllllllllllly confused HELP

 

Ok, since there is only a HDMI output on the xbox 360 E console, you might want to consider trying to find the Slim console, since that will allow you to use the 'Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable' cable (support.xbox.com/.../connect-xbox-360-console-tv)
to connect the xbox 360 slim console to your monitor.

But you won't have any sound untill you have something that can output sound. Via either the red/white cables or the optical out on the console.

 

dear WPAK thx for answering but now i'm really sad to find out this result , first the problem is a slim console is very expensive than Eslim console which i can't afford that's why i wanna bring E slim , second what i understood is that no way to use the
console with my monitor or i misunderstood , thisrd the console doesn't have optical output that means anyone will not have sound also or what, fourth i think the contents of the console includes Xbox 360 Composite A/V cable (Standard Definition) can this

but as far as I can tell your monitor does not support have those inputs.

And since your monitor also doesn't have any speakers it is a bit more difficult.

A tv wouldn't be a,problem since it does have those inputs etc.

Regarding the optical output port, that is normally only necessary to connect to a separate audio device...so it is not needed for everyone.

It may be best to go to a local electronics store that also sells the Xbox and explain them the situation to see what they advise to do.

 

sadly i'm from Egypt it's very hard to find some store that can help and i think E slim is not in Egypt yet i'm willing to bring mine used from uk as i have relatives there and at the same time it is cheap , so for now my monitor is a disaster if i got image
i won't get sound right ? about a tv actually my tv is from old ages also i don't have lcd tv it's an old crap one ,, about the optical output port u mean that i can't connect to my external speakers right , hope i got it

 

The slim in combination with the composite out cable should still work with your tv, almost all older tv's have those 'older' connections be sure to check the connections on the TV, see the link I posted earlier.

 

yes i know after ur help and explanation thank u so much dear , but as i told u before the slim console is expensive related to the e slim sadly as for me i wanna save me the headache and buy the slim but as for now i can't, i can bring only the E slim
,,, by the way i checked the specs of my monitor Samsung b2030n and it says it has Analog RGB / DVI Video Signals will this makes any difference now the dvi thing will it help now
