  1. What 4k monitors are compatible?

    Hello all,

I'm interested in getting a 4k monitor for my One S (and in preparation for the One X). I've looked through the support pages about what the requirements of a 4k display are in order to be used with a One S but it seems to point more towards TVs rather
than monitors. I'd rather use a monitor because of the superior response time to that of a TV.

    Regards,

    Michael

    :)

Xbox one s will not work with 4K pic monitors constant screen flickering

I read online and more than just me are having this issue. I like to game on monitors . I have two 4K monitors and when I enable 4 k on my Xbox one s my monitors flicker and blink on and off. Why is this happening and why hasn't it been fixed ? Defeats the
whole purpose of having an Xbox one s if you cannot use the 4K features on my 4K monitors. When will this be fixed ??????? The Xbox one s works fine with my 4K tv , but not my monitors . This needs to be resolved.

    What 4k monitors are compatible?

Many modern 4K televisions have response times around 20-25ms and this should be more than fast enough for most peoples needs.

  5. Needs HDMI 2.0 & 2.0 HDCP for sure . Right now HDR pickings are extremely slim right now on monitors (unless you aren't worried about it) . You can pick up a 4K TV cheap right now if you have a Fry's electronics around you . They have Silo brand 48"-65"
really cheap for 4K on a budget . They just don't have HDR support . I grabbed a 48" one for $249.99 on special (normally around $299.00) . All 4 HDMI ports are 2.0 with 2.2 HDCP , most low priced models are only port 1 (I tested all 4) . Edit : BTY , I do
have a Monoprice brand 4K monitor that I use right now on my gaming rig . It is HDMI 2.0 and the NVidia control panel says it HPCP protected . Just not sure if it's 2.2 though . Their older 4K monitor wasn't , but it didn't have HDMI 2.0 either , just 1.4

you need a monitor with min. HDMI 2.0 because the Xbox One S can't display 4K@30Hz,which is the case with HDMI 1.4, a bit of a shame. Then if you want to play some contents from Blu-ray or like Netflix 4K, you need a monitor HDCP 2.2 compliant, and there
aren't many on the market. And yeah the bad thing with HDCP2.2 is, that both device (source/transmitter to display/receiver) need to be HDCP2.2 compliant or it won't simply not work. It's more something you find on today's TV. Then if you want use HDR, again
it's an option you mostly only find on TV with local dimming panel, more or less OLED panel, everything else won't give any good results for HDR

Samsung 28 inch 4K UHD monitor is the one I've used before. It doesn't support HDR, btw. Get a monitor with HDR atleast 2.0. Superior response than TV? I guess TVs are also decent.
