There are a few things we'd want to check out. Does the Television show that there is no signal found, or does it appear to detect a signal but display is just black? You'll also want to check that the HDMI cable is in the proper port on the back of the
Xbox One as there is an HDMI port for input and output to allow for cable box or other device passthrough.

Newbie question: Switching back to television mode

Hey there. I have a Westinghouse TV. My dish is connected via HDMI, but the xbox is connected via the composite AV cable that came with the xbox. Yes, the issue is only with switching from the xbox back to tv. It switches TO xbox just fine.

  3. black and white/green tint images after connecting XBOX via Component cables to TV

    Hey,

So I have a brand new XBOX 360 Elite, a relatively new Westinghouse LCD TV and a brand new set of component cables.

Connecting the XBOX through component to either of my two Westinghouse TVs produces a "green tint" if the AV select is on "TV". If I set to "HDTV", the screen is devoid of all colour.

The XBOX and TV work as when I use regular white, red, yellow cables the colour is there. The component cables are brand new so I would assume that it is not them either.

When I have the HDTV setting on, and the screen is black and white, the XBOX setting menu does not recognize that the component is connected (and trust me, I connected it correctly) and it has the HDTV settings options greyed out and un-sellectable.

When I have the AV on "TV", the XBOX recognizes the "Component (SD)" as plugged in and tells me to switch to HDTV. I can enter the settings and selected 480, 780, 1080i, or 1080p. No matter what I select, the setting goes to 480 afterwards.

So, what could I possibly be missing here?

    Cheers,

    Martin
