    I got my Xbox series S Day One controller for Christmas of 2022.3 days later my Xbox controller died so I went to get batteries,I didn’t know I had to buy rechargeable battery because it didn’t come with the box so I thought I can use normal double A batteries,I didn’t have the batteries at the time so I bought 2 fresh USB-C chargers for my controller,I made sure to test it on another product before my Xbox controller and it worked,when I plug it in it made weird noises when you put it close to your ear.So I left it alone trying not to put anything at risk.

    I contact Xbox support 8 times and they keep offering me a replacement,I watched uncountable YouTube videos and nothing still help the controller won’t even turn on.I’m going to buy a new remote but it don’t make sense why I have to spend my money on a new controller because Microsoft sent a faulty one.

    If this problem happened to you and you fixed it pls tell me how.

    Hello TheyhateEvan421, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your controller.



    Please double check the controller warranty via this link https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne... where you'll also be able to set up a repair.

    Once the repair has been set up and you have received the shipping label via email you can pack up the controller. Please be sure to send only the controller and nothing else as Xbox does not guarantee that extra items such as triggers or thumbsticks will be returned.

    Felix from xbox forums here.. My first suggestion would of course be to send in your Xbox for repair, but since you've tried that

    5 times already.. I would go with a complete factory reset. (Keep games and apps option)

    How to reset your console to factory defaults on Xbox One

    Make sure you know your email and password because you'll need to redownload your profile back onto the Xbox.

    Also, you'll need to reconnect to your network / wifi .

    and i never had a problem with xbox 360. for 5 years.

    these ones. two controllers with the exact same fail, and they arent fixed by cleaning.

    i'm not asuming it's the case for everyone. but for two controllers to experience the same malfunciton after 3 months is a bit werid.

    that a change of a spare part and extensive cleaning doesnt clean it points to hardware fault

    just saying.
