werid conecetion issue

when i first turn my xbox 360 on after i wake up it does not connect to xbox live i always have to shut it back off an turn it back on an then its connected and i am using wired internet on it why does it do this?

It might be an issue with the internet itself. This happens to me occasionally. Just unplug your modem/router for 5 seconds and then plug it back in. That should solve the problem.

 

when i turn it on i have to shut it off then turn it on an its connected without unplug modem/router i just want to know why it does this an does not connect on the first time.

The next time you have to wake up your console from idling, try go to Xbox Network settings and select
Test Xbox LIVE Connection and let us know if you can connect properly to LIVE.

Could you also post up the make and model of your router and your modem as well (if this is not a single device) and also, if you have UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) enabled for your router.

the router an stuff are fine my dads the local cabal guy an we just got the new top of the line stuff not to long ago and when i say wake up i mean after playing xbox i shut it off i go to sleep then i wake up turn my xbox on an it isnt connected so i have
to turn it off then back on again

 

Even the best top of the line stuff fails. Try the suggestion I posted and see if it works.

 

it works i just have to turn my xbox on it loads up then i shut it off then turn it back on an im connected i just want to kno why everytime after i havent been on it in 6 or so hrs i have to do that

 

Sigh. If you won't try the steps that I offer I cannot help you.

 

Without any knowledge and information regarding your networking device(s) and your set up, we can only speculate.

If you haven't already, try onyx suggestion, to power cycle your modem and router.

I would also recommend you to restore your Xbox network settings to factory defaults and
clear your Xbox system cache.

Go to Xbox Network settings and select Configure Network. Select the
Additional settings tab and Restore network settings to factory defaults.

none of these are valid suggestions because they completely ignore what im saying nothing els in my house has internet troubles ever an its not realy a problem more of a bother my xbox is not idle it is off then when i turn it on it will say connect to xbox
live wich i can jsut hit the button to an bam im on or i can shut my console off an back on an its working.
