When I start a party there is a message 'We were unable to find a microphone for these people"

Hi, thanks for the reply! We're going with the former approach and set-up a party, but it says that it's unable to find a microphone for her even though she is connected and the headset appears to work prior to being put into the party. Is there anything
that would prevent it detecting her mic (e.g. because it is also detecting mine?)

I have the exact same problem. Any luck yet in fixing it.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. There are two ways to talk to people. One is start a

Xbox party chat. The other is game chat which is dependent on the game allowing it. You will also need a headset with a microphone.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with using your microphone with the Xbox One X. It's recommended to use a headset with a 3.5mm jack with support for headphones and a microphone that will plug into an Xbox Controller.
