Went from good player to avoid me rating seemingly overnight

Please help. So I logged in to Overwatch this morning to play some competitive ranked matches. After a que time with a friend that lasted over 10 minutes, we realized that my status now reads "Avoid me." I'm honestly not entirely sure how this happened exactly.
I have a diamond SR rank. It's not like I throw or intentionally lose games. To reach Diamond rank SR, you generally have to be fairly proficient with the game and actually stay competitive. If a person didnt care and just tried to lose every game and ruin
it for everyone, they would have a much much lower rank. Id say we win about 50% of our matches or so, which is what the competitive game type is designed to do.

But now it seems that because I've been reported enough for picking unpopular character selections. This season I've been trying out a lot more DPS picks and specifically Hanzo, Windowmaker, and Bastion a lot more, as opposed to my standard healer character
selection like Mercy or Ana. People think I'm intentionally throwing games for them despite actually performing decently, and end up reporting me. And now I cant play Overwatch at all. This system seems extremely unfair and biased, especially given the player
base. this is very upsetting. I've been playing Overwatch since its release almost a year ago and it just really sucks to not be able to find any game now. Is there anything that I can do?

While I understand that there are some players who go from "Good Player" to "Avoid Me" due to their actions on XBL, I believe a majority of all these "Avoid Me" states are being given due to a flaw in the reporting system. Not to mention it came without
any sort of warning. Is there anything that I can do?

To any xbox ambassadors or enforcement that may have looked at this ive contacted xbox support about being unable to view my messages on the forum at this time so I currently do not know whether this is being looked into

 

same exact problem here, hit masters with torb and next day i get hit with the "avoid me" status w/o warning. benn on it for two weeks and when i got on recently to check my sr i found out i have dropped significantly because of inactivity. i am now at 3000
