Well & truly shafted by Microsoft.

On Saturday 31st Jan 2015 I purchased COD Advanced Warfare using my debit card.

The GBP 49.99 was taken from my debit card without issue.

I goto my account summary and it shows the transaction.

Goto downloads - not there.

Its after 2000 hrs so I have to wait until Sunday 1000 hrs to call XBOX GB support.

Sunday morning I turn the console back on. I check if the downloads is available.

It is not.

At 1000 hrs I speak to Microsoft who see there is a problem and we go through the motions of deleting my profile. Turning the console off/on, then re-downloading my profile.

The game is still not available to download.

Microsoft say they will refund the money to the debit card which will take upto 72 hours.

I ask them if I should try again there and then on the phone. Microsoft agree, I once again purchased COD Advanced Warfare At GBP 49.99

Once again the game is not available for downloads.

I receive the mandatory invoice via email again.

There are no age restrictions on the console for the record.

Microsoft rep claims she will escelate to Technical Support and return the money.

I goto Argos in the UK and purchase COD Advanced Warfare as obviously Microsoft have issues.

I check my Microsoft billing account and notice the second purchase has been sent to my XBOX live account - not refund to my debit card.

I call Microsoft to be told they cant refund the 2nd charge to my bank account and that I will have to speak to my bank to arrange a charge back?

Since when do banks do a charge back to a debit card?

Thought it was only credit cards that did this

BUT MORE TO THE POINT

Why should I have to!

Anyone got any ideas how I can get my money back?

UK retailer to cut Xbox One to £299 this week
UPDATE: Sells out within minutes.

If that website works anything like groupon, the retailer got well and truely shafted.

Yep, that would definitely be the final nail in the coffin.

 

does the game show up in your download history on the console? Dashboard>Settings>Account>Download History. If it does, you can grab it from there.
