It would be neat if you could use Xbox gift cards with stored value like $10, $25 etc to purchase Gold memberships etc. You can trust credit cards. I have a credit and debit visa cards. If any company overcharges you, that is clearly illegal. And you can
ring you bank and they can REVERSE the transaction. If you've been overcharged on Xbox, contact Xbox Support. You can also report it to your bank too. As for privacy, all companies have to comply with privacy laws set by various governments, unless they want
to get into trouble by those governments. If like me you live in Australia or NZ, we are protected by our laws here. Microsoft has offices in Australia and NZ and thus fall under the jurisdiction of our countries. They also acknowledge this in their toc:

8. APPLICABLE LAW.a. United States and Canada. If you acquired the application in the United States or Canada, the laws of the state or province where you live (or, if a business, where your principal place of business is located) govern the interpretation

^ This includes how they handle our personal info.

 

On the xbox side there are to many stories of renewals even after auto renewal is turn off,and yes that is non refundable. On a safety side is not so much xbox but clearly with all identity thief its not to much of a stretch to understand you don't want
to float your credit card number on a internet based system. In the real world, far away from were the guy commented above lives. Identlty thief and credit card doesn't work like that. it can take a year to even become aware someone is charging things in
your name, and it can take years to get it sorted out. If you ever take any advice from someone on the internet take this advice. Do not toss your credit card or any account holding your money on the internet.

 

It may in fact get locked vamp, i did try to avoid that. but i have a right and will defend myself/thoughts/etc nontheless.

Interesting, read an email from MS just moments ago that pretty much read. You agreed, and if you don't agree close your account.

I have lots of purchases on my account MS, and I am not one who throws $ away, and just because I refuse to close my account does not mean, whether in whole, or in part. That I agree with you on anything!

 

Besides,no one can defend xbox blocking us from using their own prepaid cards to put money in their own account they invented for us so we can do that very thing just to get us to put in our credit card. Its just wrong. Its wrong wether you trust your bank
account on the internet or not.

How on earth could the brains behind microsofts windows 10 forget about their own system people use to buy Microsoft products? After all it is a Microsoft account not so much of xbox account. Anything Microsoft you can buy it from apps to games in the Microsoft
store. Thats like a store not having a cash register because they forgot people would be paying in cash.
