What does NxtDoc1851 know about the "way they're treating Kojima"?

Just some stuff he read on the internet.

Maybe Konami were mean. Maybe Kojima was greedy. Maybe they just wanted different things.

Of all the shady money grabbers trying to suck the lifeblood out of gaming, Konami are the first ones to stop pretending that gamers on consoles should be treated like suckers in the App Store.

Why pull a face when you should be clapping?

Good for Konami for being straight with gamers.

 

I was looking forward to this game and in particular how the Online connectivity was shaping up. All this news with konami ad kojima splitting up only guarantees this game will see very little online support. Only buying if the Single player is mine blowing.

 

No it doesnt it sounds like they are scaling back on console releases to promote mobile gaming. Again a lot of devs have done this.

 

Why DID Kojima quit anyway? Based on what I found on google, it sounds like he just got tired of working on the series and his departure was a long time coming.

idk, but it's terrible news. He's committed to finishing phantom pain, so that's a relief. I'm thinking the series should come to an end with this departure though.

 

"Metal Gear Solid" seems to be one of those "The Grass Is Greener On The Other Side Of The Fence" games.

I mean I played the "demo/prologue" and the story has got to be the biggest pile of rubbish in the history of well... rubbish.

For years the Sony Boys used to swear this was "da shizzle" but let's be honest... "Naughty-Bear" had a more plausible plot.

 

Maybe it's like a divorce. Maybe what was once a happy and positive working environment turned into grudges, hurt feelings, coming in at 3am, etc.

 

Az, how many games have plausible story-lines? I can't really think of any.

 

Can't see why they can't do both markets, mobile platforms are easier to code but potentially less money coming in as that market is flooded with rubbish as it is.

Since when did the quality of a game hinge on a "plausible plot".? I loved Ground Zero and started playing Snakeater after which is a game far ahead of its time, I loved it but hated the controls. Looking forward to the Phantom Pain.

If a female Giraffe walking on it's hind legs dressed in combat fatigues and wearing sunglasses was to be introduced as "So Solid Snake"'s love interest I don't see how anyone could bat an eyelid after Pasha, the young teenager who used to like to hang about
the Special Forces base went to rescue that girl.

I might wait for the bargain bucket on this one.
