Well it appears that the Phantom Pain will be my last Konami game.

Konami will be shifting there gaming focus to mobile. It was a fun ride, but im getting off at the next stop. Linky

The last game I 100% was Metal Gear Solid: V The Phantom Pain.

All S ranks and all objectives complete. I'm proud of that one.

Agreed. After this childish debacle between them and Kojima... I was done then.

 

Yeah. I wish they would just sell the Silent Hill and MGS IP's to somebody else. I'd hate to see them ruined by the tendencies of the mobile market.

 

Never even played any of the SH or MGS games lol so not even interested in the PP. Wish them luck in the mobile world doe.

 

Arf ! Hard to learn that future MGS won't have 10 hours of cinematics and 3 hours of cut scenes.....

So Konami see they can make a lot of money through mobile games and an app store market and they are immature and dis-honorable.

So you think they should have done the mature and honorable thing and just started treating the Console Market like the App Store and selling us games in bits?

Am I the only one that loved the MGS games...especially Guns of the Patriots?? Wow, if you haven't played this game you are really missing something pretty great.

Even though this is several years old, I still consider this to be one of the coolest scenes ever.

 

Alot of devs already do this. why is this news?

 

@Azrael I think he is referring to the way they appear to be treating Kojima, not this particular news.

@Boas Because it sounds like they are abandoning the console market. I love the Metal Gear series and will miss it greatly if it becomes a mobile only property. To a lesser degree I feel the same way about Silent Hill with the second one being one of
my favorite games as a youngster.
