  1. Weird Xbox One Issues

Some of the problems actually involve games and apps, but I'm putting this all in one post since I think the problems seem more related to the console.

In case it's relevant, I've had very few problems with my Xbox One before, mainly games crashing. I bought in early December 2013. In November 2014, I had to send the console in for repairs after the disc drive started acting up. The console is not currently
    under warranty.

Last Sunday, I decided to uninstall three games: AirMech Arena, Battle Islands, and Borderlands (Backwards Compatible install from GOTY disc). In the case of Borderlands, I wanted to install the GWG digitial download instead. I was unable to uninstall the
games and also couldn't play them either. I searched the forums and couldn't find any solution and didn't even think of contacting Xbox Support for assistance.

I decided to move the three games to the Xbox One's hard drive and transfer the games and apps on the console to the 3TB external hard drive I have. After rebooting the console without the external hard drive plugged in, I reset the console to factory standards
and deleted everything since I thought that would be an easy way to get rid of those three games.

After getting everything set up again, I shut down the console to plug in the external hard drive and move some games back to the console's hard drive. Nothing showed up even though the graph showing how much space was used showed the figure it should display.
I tried rebooting the console a few times without success so I decided to clear everything off the external hard drive and download everything again.

Since then, I've been having some weird problems. At first, one of my games, Call of Duty: Ghosts stopped installing at 69% and wouldn't progress. I solved that by going offline. I should note that I've never had any problems installing games while connected
    to Xbox Live.

Once I installed everything I wanted on the console, I turned it off to plug in the external hard drive. When I rebooted, the console wasn't automatically connected to Xbox Live. I tried again a few times with the same results. Using the settings menu to
connect to Xbox Live didn't work and it connected on its own after a few minutes. I decided to accept that and carried on with redownloading all my games.

I decided to install Elder Scrolls Online next. That install stopped at 11% and wouldn't progress beyond that no matter what I tried. I tried installing another game and that worked just fine. I contacted Xbox Support on Twitter regarding this and they thought
it might be related to my slow wifi (Download about 3, upload about 1). I've never had any problems with my wifi even though it takes a while to download stuff.

I reset everything in the hope that could solve the problem. It seemed to work until this evening and I have been leaving the console unplugged at night. While watching TV an hour ago, I used voice commands during commercial breaks to switch to My Games
& Apps to check on the status of the game I was currently downloading (Killer Instinct). A few times when I switched back to OneGuide, I was prompted to set it up as if I hadn't done it before. Some of the voice commands also didn't seem to be recognized,
even after I used the "Kinect Can't Hear Me" option in the settings menu. Once the game was fully downloaded, I started it up to sync the save file. Just after it got to the main menu, the console restarted for no apparent reason.

Am I reading a little too much into what's happening or am I experiencing some actual problems?

    :)

    Transferring 360 saves

I'm also having issues transferring my Xbox 360 save to my Xbox one. The weird thing is, I'm only having trouble transferring a specific map of mine.

Hard to say , but the only fix you could try would be a factory reset......not sure it would be worth it at your Internet speeds..... I would try a wired connection and see if it acts any better first...

  5. I'm not sure what difference a wired connection could make since I've never had a problem with wifi before.

  6. that's how wifi problems work ...they just pop up , if your router is from your isp , they may have pushed through a firmware update , you wouldn't even know about it....or the xbox may have a wireless card problem ....if it works fine wired then you know
to look at the wireless end only....

  7. It seems a bit strange that a wifi issue would be causing all the problems I'm experiencing. I wouldn't be able to try a wired connection since the only cable I have isn't long enough.

Is there another possibility of what could be causing these problems?

could be all kinds of issues , but a factory restore is the only fix to try and remedy them...bad wifi will cause issues though...some routers worse than others , what modem and router are you using ?

  9. I'm not actually sure about what brand the router is. I'm just about to do a factory restore using a file downloaded from the support website based on a chat conversation with Xbox Support.
