    Weird Xbox 360 Charge and Play issue.


    Recently, I've been having issues in regards to charging my batteries.

    I have a NYKO charge and play kit that came with two batteries and a cable. I've owned it for over a year. As of late, I am no longer able to charge ANY battery that's connected to the controller. The light in the cable does not stay on, yet I can keep
    the batteries from draining with the charge cable plugged in. However, if I remove the battery and plug the charge cable into the controller, the controller still powers on. The light indicating a charge status merely blinks on green for a split second before
    going out after being plugged in.

    I've tried multiple batteries and power sources, and am not certain it could be the controller, because everything seems to be getting power. Does anyone have an idea as to what's going on?

    Heya!

    Sorry to hear about the controller issues and apologies for the late reply.

    Are you still having issues with your controllers? Have you been able to test those play and charge kits on another set of controllers to see if they are still working?

    From what you described we would be led to believe the controllers are the issue and not the cables, console, or batteries.

    Play and Charge weird behavior

    Hello forum,

    I purchased two Play and Charge kits to use with the two controllers I have. They worked fine for the first week, then not at all. The two controllers will not even work now unless plugged into the cord. Usually the small light on
    the cable doesn't come on at all. When the cable is removed from the controllers to play wirelessly, the controllers just blink as if it can not locate the Xbox. Connecting controllers to the Xbox is impossible now without being plugged into cable. Help

    Since this is not a Microsoft product you should try contacting NYCO to see if they can help.

    Regardless of the product company, this is clearly a much more different issue. I've tried Microsoft and NYKO batteries with this cable, and I still get the same result. Only for a moment, did the red light come on using a Microsoft Battery Pack, only
    to change to green moments later. The battery has been dead for quite some time. It held a charge for a few seconds before shutting the controller off.

    Regardless of the product company, this is clearly a much more different issue. I've tried Microsoft and NYKO batteries with this cable, and I still get the same result. Only for a moment, did the red light come on using a Microsoft Battery Pack, only
    to change to green moments later. The battery has been dead for quite some time. It held a charge for a few seconds before shutting the controller off.

    Hello gamer,

    This behavior can occur if one or more of the following conditions are true:

    . The battery has reached the charge limit.

    . There may be an issue with the charge cable.

    . There may be an issue with the battery.

    Things to try:

    1. Determine the part of the recharging system that may be causing the issue.

    Controller

    Try AA batteries or try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack in the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller to verify that there is nothing wrong with the controller. If the controller works with different batteries, the controller is not causing the issue.

    Charge cable

    Try a different Xbox 360 Play and Charge cable to charge the battery. If the battery charges correctly with a different charge cable, the original charge cable is faulty.

    Rechargeable battery

    a. Use a cotton swab and some alcohol to clean the four gold contacts on the Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack and on the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller.

    b. Try a different Xbox 360 Rechargeable Battery Pack with the charge cable. If the second battery charges correctly, the original battery is faulty.

    Are they all Microsoft official products? There are many third party controllers and play and charge kits out there. There also is a play and charge kit for the 360 and a separate one for the Xbox one. As there controllers are different also. If you can
    try the play and charge kit in an Xbox one controller you will find out which you have. It is really weird that it wont fit.

    Unable to locate picture of a Xbox 360 one as we no longer sell them through the Microsoft store. Biggest difference is on the end plugs into controller, is it just a connection like for android phone, or does it have a big end with a kind of HDMI hook up
    in center.
