Weird screen duplication when setting Xbox to 1440p

I'm getting this weird screen duplication on my TV screen. It occurs both with my Xbox One X and Xbox One S. I had to switch Xboxes one day on this tv and so I moved the X to this tv and connected the S where the X was. The S was running on 1440p fine before this. Then when I hooked up my X and set it to 1440p, I get this weird image duplication on the right. I was forced to use 1080p this day since this error does not occur at 1080p. Finally, I plugged the S back to this tv and now it is also occuring on the S and am forced to use 1080p on this system as well for now. It was working perfectly fine before I switched Xboxes but now I don't know how to fix it. I've ran into this problem a long time ago and I don't remember how I fixed it after trying for several hours but I can't figure out what I did.

I understand this is quite a lengthy reply, so I’ve highlighted all the troubleshooting options in Bold.

I’m not sure why this only happens when your Xbox is set to 1440p, strange that the resolution is affecting this.

Is there any delay between the two screens or is it ‘perfectly mirrored’? Does this appear only at the Xbox Home screen or is it the same with games and apps too?

I suggest to remove the HDMI cable from both the TV and Xbox, and then a soft reset. To soft reset your Xbox console:

Hold the power button on the front of the console down for 10 seconds, releasing it only after the device shuts down. Disconnect the power cable and wait for an additional 10 seconds, then reconnect the power and turn the console back on.

Also, set the Display Override setting to “Auto-detect”, which is recommended, unless one of the manual override options work better on your TV. To do this go to Settings > General > TV & display options > Video fidelity & overscan.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, you may want to adjust your TV display settings, especially if it’s happening with two Xbox consoles on the same TV. As a last resort, reset your TV settings on your Xbox. To do this go to Settings > General > TV & display options > TV & OneGuide > Troubleshooting > Reset TV settings.

There might also be an accessibility setting enabled on your TV affecting the display on your Xbox One.

Hi, if you take your PC offline does the game still crash ?

Yes! I unplugged my ethernet, launched the game and it did not load since I lost connection to the gamepass app. When I plugged it back in, it finished loading into the menu screen. I was able to launch and am experiencing no issues at Extra high dx12 and
all setting maxed on 1440p. Weird issue, however I recommend if anyone else is experiencing it do this step.

Ive tried resetting all settings, it sounds normal when the xbox starts up and the green screen appears but once it hits home screen i get this weird distorted noise.

Setting my screen resolution to 1080p worked, not the capture resolution.

The issue seems to lie specifically with 1440p output resolution.
