Weird problems with Downloads.

First of all, excuse my poor english.

I have my Xbox Series S since launch day but just this week some problems started. Because of the low storage in the Series S I'm constantly downloading and redownloading games, but this week I noticed something wrong with the downloads.

- If I start a Download and turn off my Xbox(with Instant-on option) the ethernet led in my router keeps blinking so I know the download is continuing, but when I start the console, the download show progress, but It looks that as soon i turned on the console, the download got stuck and If press pause the download nothing happens, after some minutes maybe it "pauses" but I can't resume it anyway. Sometimes when the downloads are stuck it shows the download speed but isn't really downloading nothing, sometimes doesn't show nothing it's just stuck.

- If I keep the Xbox turned on the game downloads aparently without any trouble.

- Sometimes It takes a lot to start a Download

- Sometimes I'm downloading a game but when i turn off my Xbox(Instant-on), the ethernet led isn't blinking so I turn on the Xbox and yes It isn't downloading nothing it's stuck.

- When the downloads are stuck sometimes I can't even access to "network settings" The screen darkens a bit but It doesn't access to the settings.

- In the worst case, I can't even access to my games that i have already installed, I try to open a game but it stucks in the first screen and when I quit the game then I can't access the game at all after, i just keep pressing A and nothing happens.

- When I can access to network settings with the download stuck, I run a Nat test and that resumes the downloads.(My Nat is always open).

- And the weirdest thing I have no lag playing Gears 5 and Apex legends and the latency it's the same as before this problems.

I have hard reset the console multiple times, I have DMZ my Xbox IP, I have factory reset my Xbox 2 times, i have tested wifi 5.0 and ethernet, but the problem persist.

Every other devices in my house works without any problem(smartphones, ps4, Nintendo switch).

What do you think? Is my Xbox dying?

Thank you very much for taking the time to explain your situation in detail! Since you have already troubleshooted the issue and even rested your console, I think it is time to further check this with the online team. This isn't a sign of a dying console, However, it might mean that it needs to be sent for repair so that the service center could narrow and work on this specific issue from their end (especially if this is happening constantly). Usually a reset resolves such cases, but since it didn't it's most likely has to do with something internal (especially since you have explained that this has nothing to do with your network).

You can definitely create a repair yourself, but I would actually advise you to get in touch with the online team in order for them to create one for you from their end because then you will ensure that all the necessary notes are being added to the case. If you wish to go for it, access Contact us | Xbox Support, follow the instructions after clicking on the green button "Contact us" and choose to get help either from an online chat agent or request a callback. Make sure the region on the support website is set to your correct region in order not to find issues with the steps.

I was ready to send my Xbox to repair but before send It, I wanted to make a last "test", so I connected my Xbox to my phone hotspot and surprisingly every works fine. No downloads stuck, no stuck menus, nothing, everything working fine(even with strict nat).

The weird thing is that every test with my regular internet is fine(speed, nat and multiplayer) but apparently there is something that makes the Xbox downloads and other things stuck for certain time.

Which is weird because I downloaded borderlands 2 with it's DLC without any problem

I was having the same problem, I unplugged my Turtle Beaches and BOOM Insta download. Weird....

That weird. I'll just go double check with my lad that he did download the game with no problems.
