Weird problem with xbox one

So anyone else xbox one just not want to play any Xbox one games at all but will play normal dvds just fine? I put a xbox one game in and get the grinding noise but with a dvd it doesnt do that.

weird problem with xbox freezing

I had this problem for weeks and fixed it by fluke. Here's how:

1. Sign-in with an XBOX live account.

2. When it freezes hit the round button on the remote (or maybe the Start button, can't recall exactly).

3. Instead of the settings screen it comes up with a screen asking for more security details.

4. You put in your mobile number and it sends you a security code of 4 digits

5. You type in the 4 digits and miraculously you can then sign-on as normal.

This must be an XBOX live bug, so perhaps Microsoft will fix it one day!!

I would send the unit back to the store for replacement, blueray drives have 2 laser lenses one for blueray and one red laser for cd/dvd discs, could be the blueray one is out of alignment or another issue, also blueray discs are a smidging thicker than
dvd discs. Definately send it for repair.

 

Good advice.Having the same issue myself so am sending the console off for repair.

 

The grinding noise is the sign of a defective disc unit. Unfortunatly it's one of the release baby faults of the sytem. Just send it in, and you will get it fixed.
