Weird Post Patch Issues

Okay so it seems that after this patch, I have issues with two aspects of the system. Either "Xbox Turn Off" doesn't work properly or the TV App either won't open or is really laggy when I try to set up my devices and won't actually work with my TV. I can
only do one thing or the other, never both. Has anyone else has this issue?

Halo: Reach performance issues

Post patch, this game still suffers from huge frame rate and input lag issues. Needs another patch.

 

I want to buy this, except,,,

I would recommend it too, for me the issues were annoying pre-patch but honestly post-patch the game hasn't crashed - not even once. I don't know about SP but IMO it sucked anyway, BF is multiplayer.

After the patch the only problems I have is occasional sound issues, and joining game issues (although hit it another time or 2 and it works). In my opinion this game is truly fantastic.

 

Jack I have seen several complaints of the voice commands being less responsive, but not much on your other issues. Have you tried a total system reboot?

With the console on, press and hold the power button on the console for 5-8 seconds until it shuts off. Unplug the power supply, wait about 30 seconds and then plug it in and reboot. You should see the green splash screen upon reboot. It may take a minute
to boot all the way to the home screen. If you did not see the green Xbox splash screen, please redo it.

 

Yeah I've tried it several times. I even went as far as unplugging it for the night. It's strange because the reboot either fixes one issue, or the other, but never both at the same time.

 

For the "Xbox turn off" or more specifically the "yes" after it, try this.

1. Settings -> Power and Startup

2. Change 'Power mode' to 'Energy Saving'

3. Turn off xbox

4. Leave off for a little while (20sec's)

5. Go back into Settings -> Power and Startup

6. Turn 'Power mode' back to 'Instant-on'

7. Try the "Xbox turn off" voice command again.

 

As of right now the voice commands work. Now my TV App won't work properly.

 

In this case then I would go back to the settings and remove your devices and then re-add them. What BigBobby suggested is basically the same thing as rebooting. Once you re-add then you should be all set.

I would recommend you do a reboot once per week (follow my thread above) if you use instant on. Until a patch fixed=s some of the odd behavior. I do this and it seems to keep all the issues at bay.
