Weird noise coming from disc drive when playing games

Bought a Xbox one this past weekned, I've been noticing that when ever I play a game it makes a weird chirping buzzing noise like the disc is being read but all the games are installed on the hard drive even when playing a digital game like acc unity. Is
this normal? Or a defect maybe? Here's a link to a video where the Xbox makes similar noises

whirring noise

recently when im playing disc games this weird whirring noise starts coming from the disc drive, is this a serious issue?

Hey there Xeraxes! I understand you are having issues with a buzzing noise coming from your console. Can you confirm that this only happens when you try playing disc games, or does this happen when no disc is in the drive or when playing downloaded games?
Does it sound like this is coming from the disc drive, or does it sound like it's coming from somewhere else? Let us know, thanks!

I have had the same problem since launch, it drives me nuts........ Why does it spin, the games are installed, all it needs to do is verify the disc is there and stop spinning. I assume its spinning as it doesn't make the noise with. No disc....

What is the weird noise you are hearing, is it coming from the disc drive on the left hand side of the console?

Also, what are the return policies regarding damaged merchandise at the retailer you purchased the Xbox One from?

I had a brief encounter, similar to this, I thought it might have been a knackered disc drive but then a DVD works... Put game back in and it works. Does your console occasionally make a weird noise from the disc drive?

What kind of noise is it making? Is it a rattle? If so, try removing the vent cover from where the hard drive sits. That's what I did when mine was making noise.

If it's making noise when you're playing a disc based game try installing it to the hard drive.
