    Weird looking subtitles in Movies & TV app


    Hi, has anyone else experienced this? Just changed last week (I didn't change a thing) I'm on beta right now.

    I know, you can change the look of the subtitles in the Xbox Settings, but this weird shadow doesn't go away, whether I use the standard or custom setting.

    What subtitle does work on the XBox

    I know that a DVD subtitles will work (As long as it has subtitles encoded in it.) You enable them at the main menu of the dvd or the movie option bar in movie...

    Most of the movies and Tv showson netflix have subtitles that you have to enable when you start that show.

    Xfinity has them too in the app settings (I think their subtitle system is dumb though)

    Some Youtube videos have the CC options

    Not ALL of the TV shows have subtitles, so I've noticed. Same with movies. The one French movie in the game has subtitles, of course.

    Seems like not all movies or shows have captions included. Some of them depends on certain developers. Same goes with games.

    Yet another movie without captions is The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. The other two LotR movies have captions so why not this one? Is there a technical issue? Or did they just not get around to it? I truly just don't understand where the work
    begins and ends. Hopefully they get around to it at some point. A lot of these fantasy movies have words unique to their universe and I want to know exactly what it is they are saying as to not remain ignorant and as I mentioned before there are more than
    likely people with hearing issues who cannot watch these movies at all. These are sales you could be missing out on, Microsoft!

    I agree but this is a studio decision, if the title has captions Xbox supports it. Sorry, we have a long way to go with accessibility on digital.
