Weird little oddity with my account

I can't say that I'm complaining, but I stumbled upon a discrepancy that caught my attention and I just felt compelled to ask others about it. This issue spans both the 360 and the X1 consoles. Anyway my Live subscription was set to expire April 13. I was
playing World of Tanks on my 360 around 10 p.m. today (April 12) when it kicked me and said it expired. I double-checked and I could not play any online games. I didn't think anything of it. I have plans to add a new card here shortly, but I just happened
to hop onto my Xbox One and notice that, while it claims I have no Gold subscription, I can still play games online and it will still let me play my Games with Gold games.

To make a long story short, I'm trying to figure out why I can play on one console with a Silver account, and not the other. Do they let you play online for free on the Xbox One? I did get the free month from Halo MCC, but you'd think that would still show
as having Gold. As it is I can play on my Xbox One, but not my 360. It's like there's a lag or something. Has anyone else ever noticed this?

It's really not a huge issue. It's kind of silly, but I was actually waiting for my Gold to expire so that I could reactivate it in World of Tanks and (hopefully) get a free tank that's rare. I'm just wanting to make sure that my subscription is in fact
expired so that I don't botch my chances of getting the tank.

oddity with my nat setting

There are compatibility issues with a lot of routers.

I find that if the NAT is moderate when I switch on I can do a multiplayer test then when it says everything is good I press all the triggers and bumper buttons at the same time which brings up a detailed network screen, I then press 'A' and then the NAT
opens.

Ok i was turning my xbox one on today and a few hours ago the nat was open on it , but now its strict. I have no clue why it says that though, but thats not the odd part.

The odd part is when i run a test on it , it says its good to go even with the nat saying its strict. im confused on how thats working, shouldnt it be saying what i should do to open my nat? anyone else having this issue?

Am not too sure of the desrepancy between one console and the other, you think if one went down then they both would.

However I know you can tell when you account expires through the Microsoft account details page: commerce.microsoft.com
