Weird issue with my 360 it attempted to force me into taking the same Dec system update twice ...

I was playing some Saints Row the Third tonight and when I exited the game I got a pop up on the console saying that a system update was available which I'd already taken a few days ago and when I clicked yes to accept the download started and then failed
five seconds in and the console did this three times just now.

I failed to write down the error code that came with the update failure as I was not thinking but I did see another message and it stated that my console had been disconnected from xbox live due to the router have a dns resolving issue.

I had to exit out of the dashboard and test my internet connection and after doing that twice and resetting the modem/router the issue has ceased I was immediately able to get back on line and haven't received the update message again as of yet.

I have the 4gb slim with a 250gb hdd that was bought at a later date, my internet is AT&T high speed dsl supposed to be 1mbps up and down but rarely get that speed thanks to an overloaded area network, my modem/router is an Actiontec brand dsl compatible.

Can't Update Console

I turned on my xbox today to find that I had a update when I got to the dashboard. When I attempted to accept it, the update failed as soon as it began downloading. I attempted several times, and always received the same error code: 3524-0000-3060-0300-D000-0185

Following the troubleshooter on xbox.com, I saw that the error code had a solution of removing and reattaching the harddrive. I did so, only to be met with the same problem, and same error code. Thus, I tried the alternate method of downloading the update
and applying it through USB. However, the update failed immediately upon start up, telling me that "The update cannot be processed."

I also attempted to clear the system cache, but that didn't help either.

 

When trying to update I get this Status Code: 40A3 - 0000 - 3080 - 0402 - 8007 - 045D

I updated my xbox360 today, after about a week of it refusing to update. I finally managed to get it to update. Afterwards I got onto Assassin's Creed 4 and updated the game. I believe that the game's update was corrupt and corrupted the last system update,
as it immediately told me that my game was unreadable and when I attempted to sign back online, it told me the system was corrupted and need to renown load the update. So I deleted the game's title update and cleared my system cache, then re-downloaded the
update. Well now it refuses to update and no matter what I do I get the same status code: 40A3 - 0000 - 3080 - 0402 - 8007 - 045D. I have attempted to: Reconnect to the internet, via network settings, then updating - failed Clear system cache and restart console
- failed Remove and reinsert internal hard-drive - failed Re-download profiles and re-download update - failed Use USB to update the console - failed I'm now just thinking about deleting the previous update from the console and attempting to download the update
again, as I think it is just detecting the previous update and then believing it already is up-to-date. So where could I find the previous update to delete it? I think that is my problem at this point, but I'm no expert, so I don't really know.

 

Update. I did have to take another console update around 6:00 am est it took nearly an hour to download and apply but after that everything has been back to normal for me.
