    Weird headset controller glitch after update


    I decided to use Xbox Insiders to get the new discord update but with this update it has entirely bugged my headset. When i'm in a party on both discord and xbox I can completly hear the person talking and I can talk back but if I want to listen to game audio for some reason it will only play on my tv speakers. I tried going back to the current update but it didn't fix it. I've tried messing with my audio settings and entirely reseting them. It wont even work on other controllers. Yet it works perfectly fine on my phone/laptop and anything else. I really don't want to buy new headphones. I really need help.

    That's a weird glitch. Check your controller for an
    update    , and give your console a
    power cycle     as well. Hopefully it helps!

    ok, that's weird. look under Settings and then Video & Audio. There's the option to optimize the sound for headsets. turn it on or off. maybe you'll hear something. can you connect another headset to the controller? just to make sure the controller isn't
    broken after all.

    If your Xbox one Controller doesn't work or gets disconnected after you plug in your Stereo Headset Adapter, unplug your adapter,
    and then update your controller without the adapter. After the controller is updated, insert your Stereo Headset Adapter back into the controller.

    I dont think my headset has a reset, weird. Clearing cache' usually helps with glitched audio/video stuff too.
