    Weird graphic artifacts appearing on dashboard, any help appreciated.


    Not so long ago, I would say around E3, I started to see these weird green and red dots (artifacts) appear all over the home screen dashboard of my xbox one. At first I thought it was a GPU issue, as if it were faulty but then I noticed something odd about
    the issue. If I insert a game disc and start playing the game, there are no issues at all while playing the game, and there are no artifacts on the dashboard at all while the game is still playing in the background. Same goes for digitally downloaded games
    - no issues in game and no dashboard artifacts while the game is playing.

    Now I have tried different HDMI cables to no avail, as well as contacted Support for troubleshooting: cold restarts, changing resolution, no good.

    I am a member of the dashboard preview program and my current software version is 6.2.13191.0 (xb_rel_1507.150630-1846). Given that this issue only occurs on the dashboard and on apps launched from the dashboard, Halo channel for instance, but not in games
    and while games are running, could this be a software issue for my Xbox rather than a hardware one? Would something like this be covered under warranty? I have already reported the issue via the preview report issue function. Any help is appreciated. Thank

    I am having this exact problem with my new Xbox One X. I'm guessing the GPU is dying... Weird graphic artifacts appearing on dashboard, any help appreciated. :(

    Hi!

    I just have bought new xbox one x and The Evil Within 2.

    Please see below picture of my TV screen (tv 1080 p without HDR and 4K). As I see there are some graphic artifacts in there. Also i have some graphic artifacts in Quantum Break too.

    Could you please help me? Thanks!

    Hello,

    Are you sure this is not just a background as you said that when you are playing a game they dissapear? Or it could be a new beta feature from the preview program to test out? These dots do not appear to be coming out of the screen like on top of all the
    menus and stuff so it doesnt look like a hardware issue.

    Also would you mind sending me a preview invite?

    Xbox One Dashboard Glitches

    I have the exact same problem since the last update.

    It looks like flashing graphical artifacts just like when you overclock your graphic card too much on PC.

    It does stop when playing a game as well as if I go to the dashboard while it's still running but once I close the game manually, those artifacts (glitches) come back as soon I start browsing the dashboard :(

    How does the "grapics card" get affected damage?

    Problems with the GPU usually shows up in the form of graphical "artifacts" on screen, like weird random colors, spots, flickering, and other garbled nonsense happening. Worst case scenario, the Xbox won't display anything on the screen at all.

    Either way, a defective graphics processor will require the console to be serviced or replaced.
