    Weird Font in Various Locations


    Hello,

    Has anyone else experienced a weird looking font in various places on the Xbox Dashboard as seen in pictures below. I've done a factory reset but didn't seem to get rid of them, I've also checked my language settings and they are definitely English, UK.

    There it says (xb_rel140x...). Is it a 1407, 1408 or 1409 on your console?

    Yep, this has been reported by numerous people in the beta section of the forum and acknowledged by an MS employee.

    As fair as I'm aware, this is an error connected specifically with the current beta tests. Presumably you are signed up for this. Therefore please use the beta forums to report and discuss these issues.

    There should be a link over on the right of the forum menus for you to get there quickly.

    I'd also just politely remind you that part of the Beta programme is a NDA that all participants accepted, and so any information relating to the beta should not be posted to the public forums

    I agree that people should post in the correct forum section, but there is no NDA covering the beta program for dashboard updates and you can talk about them freely anywhere, as mentioned here: -

    Thanks for your reply, I was in the beta program however thought that was now over given that the update had been rolled out. Apologies if I posted in the wrong forum...

    It's not actually something that needs fixing. Have a read of this for an explanation of why certain text may look like that temporarily: -

    en.wikipedia.org/.../Pseudolocalization

    If you see this kind of text in a public dashboard release, then MS would need to sort it out, but in preview releases it's normal to see it from time to time.
