Weird Font in Various Locations

Hello,

Has anyone else experienced a weird looking font in various places on the Xbox Dashboard as seen in pictures below. I've done a factory reset but didn't seem to get rid of them, I've also checked my language settings and they are definitely English, UK.

This is a normal behaviour for the preview software and indicates phrases that have to be translated before the final release.

The preview program is the beta testing program. In this program the new dashboard versions are tested.

To be honest, I missed that you just got your console yesterday.

Have you bought it used?

 

Would you please go to settings / system and have a look at the console info and especially at the os system version?

There it says (xb_rel140x...). Is it a 1407, 1408 or 1409 on your console?

 

Ah ok. Then your console is really registered in the preview program as the 1409 is the newest beta version.

So as I think you bought the console used and are not wanting to participate in the preview program, there are two possibilities for you:

1. Ask the one you bought the console from, to have the console unregistered. He can do this using his gamertag and the dashboard preview app on that console.

2. Send a PM to "XB1R Hermes" or "Miss Portia" letting them know you want to be removed from the program. They may be able to help you out and unregister your console from the program.

 

will they fix this in new updates in furture are i have got to be removed from beta program for it to be fixed

 

This will be fixed with the final public release of the dashboard software middle September at least. Usually it is fixed earlier.

But as every month a new beta wave is released you may be part of that then again and may face this or other problems related to beta testing.

 

i no the person who had the xbox before but they they live to far away to come round and put there gamer tag in and that so how do i go on

 

Additionally:

As your console is registered in the preview program but you yourself are not, you should pm them anyway, whether to have your console unregistered or have yourself registered to the program, as the support for issues with the beta versions has its own forum
with limited access and can not be done here.

how do i find them members on form i tried search at the top of page i found XB1R Hermes but said i need gold to send message im on 14 day trial so dont no
