Weird display and no sound on Xbox One S

My display is really shrunk down and I have no sound. It looks like it would fit on an old style tube TV. TV itself is not the problem as everything else is working. Is there a fix?

ETA: changing the HDMI cable didn't help

Hi Blue-Chaos, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

To fix this sound issue please follow the steps below:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options.

Select Video fidelity & overscan.

Under Display, select HDMI.

Once the sound is fixed, then let's fix the resolution issue by following this step:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings.

Under General, select TV & display options.

Select Resolution, and then select the best resolution for your TV (either 720p, 1080p, or 4K UHD).

Sounds weird, because my Xbox one s controller works perfectly fine with Bluetooth

I just want u to know that the "ticking" fan sound is very common... My xbox one s have had this issue since brand new.

There are professional tests done, check youtube. It's nothing to worry about since the fan aren't broken or anything. It's just anoying.

Since you have tried it on multiple displays with the same effect, your console may be need to be serviced.
