    Weird D-Pad issue with series x?


    I got a series-x about a year ago and last month starting having controller issues. But it's only under certain circumstances/games. Basically the dpad is constantly registering an "up" input. But only on the xbox home dashboard....and halo wars 2. All other games are working without issue. I took the controller apart and cleaned it already. Made sure it, and the console was updated. I even went into the controller diagnostic that shows buttons being pushed and...nothing. No constant "up" input. Any ideas? Only thing that gets it to stop is if I smack it really hard. And that only buys me about 5 minutes. And no doubt is breaking it further.

    This works as of so far. Go to console settings, then go to system info.

    Do this series of keys to reset it.

    Left trigger, right trigger

    X,Y

    Left bumper, right bumper

    X, X

    Up on d-pad, down on d-pad

    Hope this works

    reset family settings

    If it is a xbox 360 slim I have the code. It's LT,RT,LB,RB,X,Y,Left on d-pad,Left on d-pad and Left on d-pad. It reset my family settings.

    Try going to the System Info page (Settings > System Settings > Console Settings > System Info) and press "Left Trigger" "Right Trigger" "X" "Y" "Left Bumper" "Right Bumper" "Down With The D-Pad" "Down With The D-Pad Again" "Up With The D-Pad" "X"

    The Xbox Series X controllers will work on Xbox One consoles, and the Xbox One controllers (including the Elite/Elite V2) will work on Xbox Series X too.
