Weird audio issue

Hi Guys,

So basically, my Xbox only plays some audio, with the other audio being inaudible. It plays game music fine, as well as the crowd sounds in FIFA, but you can't hear some speech, such as FIFA commentary or speech in cutscenes in most games. The same issue
occurs with the Netflix app, but is dependent on what I watch - some things aren't affected, some things have no audio at all for me. I've tried changing cables, I've tried it with two TVs, and it's occurred on some games but not others. Any advice?

Weird Audio Issue

I just spoke with a support rep and got mine working. All i had to do was disconnect all cables from the xbox, wait 3 minutes, and reboot it. This worked for me, I suggest trying it if you have the same problem.

My only suggestion is to keep complaining on the forums for sound issues as there is plenty. Double the graphics and 1/4 the audio is my take on things.

Funny also that Netflix on a Windows 8 PC, Roku and a few other devices does something called Super HD and X1 does not yet.

Hi Jason,

Is your Xbox going directly to the TV? If not for testing purposed please bypass this. and use HDMI to plug directly into your TV. Then go to Settings > then Display & sound. From there, check your audio settings. Do to HDMI audio and select "Stereo Uncompressed".
Turn Optical Audio options Off.

netflix and bf4 are my biggest problems as well. I don't count the Directv pass through i'm doing right now as I know it is a work in progress, but I expect the damn Xbox One to be able to send 5.1 to my brand new LG BH9430PW with no issues. $500 for 15
year old technology is bs.
