Weird and annoying connection issues.

For the past week I've had really weird connection issues. Connecting to Xbox live itself is perfectly fine, but almost all live services are acting up. It seems to have started with dedicated server and profile sync problems on halo 5. GTA server problems
soon followed. Party chat is touch and go as to whether it decides to work at all. YouTube and Netflix do work but are taking longer to load videos/episodes/films than before.

It is only my console with any issues. No other device has been effected in any way.

Now for some general info to make things get sorted quicker:

I live in the UK, in Weston-super-mare

I've been told my router is a BT Homehub5

One Xbox one is connected to the router, and it is connected wirelessly

Upnp is enabled.

My NAT is open, and has never been anything different.

My ISP is Plusnet

Getting kicked from session, then bad sport warning for quitting?

I've been getting kicked a lot from a few things today, but no bad sport message. Mostly from races and I don't know if it's connection issues, or the hosts didn't like me taking all the money and RP. Definitely weird/annoying.

Sorry to hear about the freezing trouble. Does this only happen when you're playing online, or is there similar trouble when playing offline? From what you describe, it sounds like it may be a connection issue, but if it occurs offline it may be related to
something else. Have you also tried resetting your network connection by unplugging network hardware for 30 seconds and reconnecting?

 

Try doing a hard reset performed exactly this way. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know. Good Luck!!

 

Others have had issues with the BT Hubs , they may have pushed a firmware update out....try it wired if the above suggestion by Genesis doesn't help , also , you can try and restore the router to factory defaults (little push button on back or bottom , hold
in for 30 seconds with a paper clip)...

 

I've hard reset my console multiple times, I've even gone as far as factory resetting it, with no luck.

 

I've also reset the router to defaults, using both the little pin button and in the routers menu.

 

try it wired or try it with a hotspot from your phone...or maybe take to a friend or family members house on a different network and test....could be the xbox itself but my money is on the hub....

 

A wired connection has done nothing

 

I spoke too soon, a wired connection seems to have worked. But I can't have a permanent wired connection as I've had to invade the front room to make this happen.

 

I would give the BT Hub back to your isp (you are probably paying $120.00 a year for it ) and get your own modem ONLY and a separate router (Netgear) and never look back....
