Website is not sending security codes to email

I can't log in to cancel my live account. I updated security with a phone code & it put a 1 month lock period on cancelling my account? Seriously? I don't want to wade through the horrible wait times to have a human fix this for me. Is this all part of the
MS failure that's been going on this week?

Need help adding points

Hello,

When every I try to add point's to my profile from my laptop, the website tells me my computer is not recognized. It try's sending me a code to verify. The problem is the email it try's to send the code, is an email I have never used. And when I try to update
my security info, it always goes back to this mystery email. Is there a way around this?

I understand you don't want to wait to get through to a call but you can also request a chat from a Microsoft representative (This is not the Ambassadors)

The representative can do the same as the phone support and will call you if necessary

You can request a chat from
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us

You can use the US chat just a fine as your own local one and the wait times are about 10-20 minutes usually

This is the only way things might get fixed since you put a lock on your own account and you're not getting emails with a code to log in

Like you said before "When I tried to enter a security code as I thought I forgot what my username was, I got this:". Where did you get the security code page? On Microsoft or Minecraft website? Just try to sign in and it will send the security code in one of these emails. They are alternative emails associated with the Microsoft email address you are probably using for Minecraft.

You need to sign into your EA account on the EA website and set up your security settings there.

You might have had an Authenticator App on your smartphone, that provided authentication codes in the past. Or maybe EA sends you an authentication code to your email.

thanks. is there another way to secure it? because to access security info in my account you need to send a code to the email attached to it but somehow the hacker accessed it without sending one.
