Webcams for skype and Mixer (for XboxOne)

Good day! How does webcams support xbox one?

I'm interested in models and manufacturers.

This is for mixer and skype.

Webcam for Mixer, Skype & Cortana

Since each USB Webcam would need dedicated drivers, you can't simply add any USB Webcam you like. The Xbox console (as any other consumer device like the Playstation 4, Apple iOS device, un-rooted Android, Smart TVs etc.) is a "walled
garden", which means, in order to protect the device security and integrity, only licensed devices will work on the console.

Which means, only the Kinect Camera has the necessary drivers to work on the console.

If you wish to use any Hardware you want, you'll have to use a PC with a more open system. Windows 10 allows you to install most hardware, if the drivers are properly digitally signed. And with the right configuration settings, you can even install unsigned
drivers.

A thing that is not allowed on consoles, Android, iOS or other "walled garden" devices.

I agree, that only for webcam use, the Kinect is an expensive accessory. But if you're willing to use Kinect for more than just a webcam, and even if fitness games aren't your thing, the convenience of yelling voice commands to your console to record a great
gaming moment, or inviting friends to a match without having to leave your current game and go through the Guide menu is nice.

I would even be fine paying $100 for the Kinect. But the issue is that I have to pay an extra $40 to have a kludge cabling solution. I am not willing to pay extra to have a worse environment. As the Xbox One S was my first ever Xbox, I did not qualify for
the free adapter. They really need to have a native USB Kinect/Webcam for people who are new to Xbox. I am missing out on the functionality of Cortana and Skype because of poor product decisions. This isn't the way to get new customers into Xbox by cutting
them off from using Kinect.

Why doesn't the Xbox One S support native USB webcams? Or create a native USB Kinect device? I very much want to use my Xbox with Mixer, Skype & Cortana, but can't. I don't own a Kinect, and am not willing to pay extra for an adapter that creates a very
messy setup. As a first time Xbox owner, I didn't qualify for a free adapter. The Xbox has such great potential, but the number one thing holding it back is no webcam support. I can't use so many of the features it has because of this. This is something Microsoft
needs to address.

You can use a Webcam with the Xbox as long as it's compatible, not sure on the specifics of twitch, but I'm sure some other folks out there can answer that..
