    Wearing out game disc


    We play Borderlands The Handsome Jack Collection a lot. So much that the Xbox one doesn't recognize the disc being inserted about 90% of the time. Is there some way that we can play the game without having to insert the disk every time and not have to purchase
    the online game for another 60 bucks?

    Leaving Games In The Console

    I usually just leave the disc in the tray until I get ready to play a different game or watch a movie. The way I see it, if you remove a disc from the disc tray every time you finish playing a game or watching a movie, it puts more wear and tear on the mechanisms that control the tray. If you can minimize the opening and closing, you can avoid wearing out your disc tray prematurely.

    Another suggestion is to keep game disc that you play frequently in a CD sleeve. The will minimise the wear and tear due to taking the game disc out from the case.

    disc's are cracking from middle

    If your discs are cracking in the middle, it's usually just wear and tear when you take them out or put them in their respective cases. Most of the time, it shouldn't cause enough damage to render the disc unplayable. Just be careful when taking your discs
    out. (As in, don't bend the disc out, but instead, use your thumb to push in the center so the disc pops out of the case.)

    If you think it's the console cracking the discs, though, be sure and install your games to the hard drive so you can reduce wear and tear on both the console and your discs.

    And just in case, remember that you shouldn't move your Xbox 360 while a disc is inside. Doing so can damage your disc and render it unplayable.

    That wouldn't be it CSB. Your 360 wouldn't break the piece in the center. That's from popping the game in and out of the case too much. Normal wear and tear. Are you switching games or movie discs excessively?
