    Weak controller vibration when holding down the xbox button for notifications (Series X)


    hello,

    I sometimes get a weak controller vibration when holding the Xbox button down for notifications like Party Invites or Game Pass quest completions etc. It does it randomly but then goes back to the strong normal vibration

    My brother had the issue constantly but then I put the inside app on his console, which fixed it but he also gets the random weak vibration.

    Have you changed the batteries? The first thing it does to conserve power is to reduce, then eliminate rumble

    Hello The, just today Microsoft released the March update for the consoles of line One, after having done the reset, see in the settings and then on system if it does not have an update to do, after updating the system, check if the control needs to be updated as well.

    I am having this problem as well. Brand new series x, brand new controller, brand new batteries. System is up to date and so is the controller. Has to be a software issue, this does not happen on my Xbox One.

    Turn off Vibration on controller

    To turn off Controller vibration:



    -Press the Guide Button (The Big silver shiny button in the middle of the controller that looks like the Xbox logo)

    -Press Right on the D-pad until you get to the 'Settings' menu.

    -Then go down and select 'Preferences' on the Settings menu.

    -Go down and select 'Vibration' on the Preferences menu.

    -Uncheck the box for 'Enable Vibration



    That's it!

    Seems the confusion may be in the 'X' button reference... The Guide Button is seperate from the 'X' button. =)

    Controller Issues

    I bought a new controller and the triggers vibrate when holding the guide button. I recently found out that this is a new feature.

    Games still crash as well so it's definitely not the controller. :(
